  1. I am still here as well but do not check in as much as I should. In my many conversations with my MD, he said he would be very happy if I get down into the 150's. I wanted to hit the 130's, but I think he is going to be right! I did get down to 151, but that was after some surgery for heart palpatations. I wasn't eating very much and had to fast prior to surgery. I am not up to about 160 which I am not happy about. I need to get these 10 lbs off. I considered plastic surgery, but the cost is just outside my budget right now. I don't even really know if I need it. I have had another fill, but I have to say I wonder if I have stretched my pouch. I am going to try and do liquid for a few days to see if I can get that pouch down. I can eat just about anything I want I since I just had a fill it has to be me. I need to get my eating under control versus it controlling me. I do miss hearing from everyone! Hope all is well and everyone is on the right track. Gilta
  2. I love Greek Yogurt. I buy plain 0% and add in either fresh fruit, low fat granola or surger free spread. I cannot eat it plain but it is a great source of protein.
  3. Yep that has been me - MIA! I have to say it has been very nice not having to think about the dreaded holidays coming up. The gala I have been involved with for years is this weekend and I purchased a gown that I love! It is a size 12 gown (which is like a 10 normally) that fits like a glove ( just have to shorten it by 20 inches  ). How are the rest of the Aug 08 bandsters doing? Anyone have any lifts/skin removals? Hope all is well. Gilta
  4. Well my bandiversary is tomorrow and I won't make my 143 goal, but I did lose 9 lbs for this challange! My MD thought 125 was way too low for me so we moved it up to 140 instead. I think that will be much more realistic for me. I cannot believe tomorrow will be 1 year!
  5. Welcome to the group! I agree with Kristen - have you had any fills? Are you eating bandster portions? I have been at the same weight for 3 months so I got another fill today. My MD was agressive with the fill so hopefully this will do it for me.
  6. Thanks Misty for the information! I just noticed I have a pretty old picture. I have to get a new one posted.

This is my first blog but I feel like I really need to do something to change my attitude. I have been on a roller coaster with my weightloss since January. This happens to me everytime I lose weight. I do extremely well for about 3 months and then it all goes to pot. I go for another fill next week as I have not really had any restriction feeling as of yet. I hope the MD will fill me a bit more than he has in the past.

  9. Hi Folks, I don't know about you but I would love to win the Nano! Let's keep up the updates going so we can all be submitted into the drawing. We all probably need a kick to get things back in gear or to keep doing well and maybe this is it. Imagine having that large of a nano so that you can use it while you walk, run or any type of exercise. I have been in a slump but with my fill coming up next week I know I will do this! My BIL comes in to visit at the end of the month of July (he lives in Seoul and I am in NY) and has not seen me in 2 years. I am down 65 or so right now, but my goal is to be down as close to 75 as possible. Let's keep chatting!
  10. Hi Again! Thanks for all of the wonderful advice. I had not heard of diary website before, I will have to check it out. That is the problem I had with other sites, is that the food search was not that good. Michelle - you know, I never thought of what you mentioned about my DH. That is exactly when all of this started. He is doing wonderful, but I think the stress put me in a down hill spin for a while. I did take someone's advice to just try one small change last week and see if that would make a difference. That did help. I am going to add in 1 day of exercise so I don't feel so overwhelmed about getting back into 4 days a week. I did lose 1 lb last week, but it is part of the same 3 lbs I have been gaining and losing since January. I just want to get under the 160 mark! Gilta
  11. Protein bullets are usually prepackaged mixed Protein drinks. They have them at places like GNC with 42g of protein. I have tried them, but they are a bit too sweet for me. I was able to move up my next fill by 4 weeks to july 1st so hopefully that will help! I know I just need to go back to measuring, writing and exercise and then this will work. I know it does because I lost 50 lbs that way!
  12. I wish I could say I am active! I have stopped working out and just feel like a slug. The only time I find I lose weight is when I have less than 1100 calories. If I go over 1400 I gain and in between I ususally maintain, which is where I am now. I have written everything I have eaten down so far today which is a step in the right direction. Now all I need to do is keep it up for the rest of the day and then I can say I had a good day!
  13. Yes - I do need to track my food. I think that is the largest hurdle for me. I will start that up again. I think the reason why I stopped is I know I am over 1200 calories and it bothers me. I need someone to come to NY and Kick my A**! In regards to a fill, they book out 8 weeks in advance so it is sometimes hard to get in earlier than that. They like to make sure that the fill is actually working. I will be calling them today to see if I can get in earlier. I will organize everything up so I have a good day!
  14. I had been doing very well until the holidays and have been pretty much so at a stand still. I have had 2 fills, but don't have much restriction. I feel like I am back eating like I did before my surgery. I know what is right and what is wrong, but I just cannot seem to get my head into this again. How do I get back on track? I have had no PB or felt any restriction and am not scheduled for another fill until the end of July. Can someone give me just 1 day of a meal plan so I can use that to get started on the right path again? Thanks!
  15. Gary - You are doing great! I was told that there is some loss of Fluid since the band is not a closed system. I was surprised by how much, but my band PA said it wasn't a big deal. I go back in July to get another fill. I am only 5cc's in a 14cc band and I really do not feel much restriction. We will both get there!
