  1. @@emsgirl114 HOLY. CRAP. Go to the hospital! Are those bruises normal for this procedure? Have you sent the Dr. that pic?
  2. I call BS on the post. Big fat piece of bologna.
  3. @@Rovobay Great idea!
  4. @@Kindle You have been an inspiration to me since the day I came here in October. Your positive outlook and resolve has shined in everything you have said. I love your no-nonsense attitude, and I love that you look at each set back as a come back. I can only hope to be as successful as you. Bless you for being so open about your life changes, you are a bright light here, and I know everyone agrees with me. xoxo
  5. @ thanks! I hope more people will chime in and make this a great place to find lots of recipes!
  6. Holy Canoli! If I lost that much in 4 months it would be a miracle! You must be young lol
  7. As long as you don't have a fever or upper respiratory infection you should be fine. Good luck!
  8. Yep, I would simulate a pre-op diet. Protein shakes 3-5 times a day. Water and decaf tea or coffee only.
  9. @@MisforMimi Men are more than welcome to weigh-in. This is not just a female topic. I know when my husband dropped about 30 lbs he was all too eager to get into more fashionable jeans and tops, and even shoes!
  10. I agree with @@BeagleLover too. Most PCP's don't know diddly squat about WLS.
  11. Are you planning to self pay? Most insurance won't cover you under 35 BMI
  12. I am taking chap stick, a glade plug-in for the room, an eye mask, feminine wipes, gas x strips, chargers, etc.
  13. @@Rovobay LOVE her
  14. @@jess9395 YOU LOOK FREAKING AMAZING!
  15. This could be an awesome thread if everyone will help make it MAGICAL. I have been coming across lots of bariatric websites that have countless recipes, and I'm sure some of you have, too. I have even seen a bunch of free bariatric cookbooks! So, what if we all shared our links on one post and that way everyone would have access to all the recipes?! *EDIT* Thanks to @@Rovobay for suggesting that I update this original post by copying and pasting each response so you don't have to scroll through page after page. @@norcalkitty posted this free cookbook back in October and it is amazing: http://www.chicoweightloss.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/BariatricCookbookJuly2014.pdf I also found this website today: http://www.peachtreebariatrics.com/weight-loss-recipes/ Original Bari-Buddies cookbook from @@WL WARRIOR http://www.mybaribuddies.com/uploads/7/3/2/6/7326146/cookbook.pdf Phone app for recipes from @lisacaron http://www.eatingwell.com/shop/healthy_in_a_hurry_app_for_iphone_and_ipod_touch_ipad_android From @@Rovobay http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ Found this one today! http://twosleevers.com/ Share yours!
