I am 5 weeks out now almost 6 and tried some cheese sticks on week 4 they were ok but latley im am struggling with gas bad to the point where I have to stick my finger down my throat to burp and often throw up, I ate a peice of rotesseri chicken and threw up. Any tips?? I am so stick of liquids and even today was so nauasted that I couldnt drink my premixed Protein drink. I know Im not getting enough protien or Water , instead of water what did yall drink? I have switched back and fourth between protonix prilosec and zantac protonix seems to be best. I dont take gas x chewables as much but used to drink so much water but really struggle with dry mouth. IT sucks! cant wait till im 5 months out . Also when did you guys start working out I was told wait till im 4 months

I think Mine was right away hubby could not wait just be careful hurt to lay on my stomach or twist because of left side pulling

I will say this RJ I learn more from here then actual doctors. I work with the arrogant assholes everyday. I dont give a dam if they have an MD title unless they have walked in your shoes they have no idea. I dare someone to say that to me he would of had to call security he has no idea how hard this is. We are all here for you and will get through this!

I heard the Gas x chewables work better, also I have nausea still and Im 5 weeks out almost 6 My body did not do well with anasthesia. I am still taking zofran and a supository at night and severe issues with gurd it gets better I was put on protonix but have a follow up here soon hopefully with a states doctor who did my orginal consult ! I hear the first three months are the hardest

Yes! It amazing I work in a hospital so we are always brought food, We had a holiday breakfast lunch and dinner today and it is so crazy to see that people fill there plate and go back for a second I am struggling with this surgery as far as not being able to eat much without getting sick and everyone was so used to me eating a ton before never realized how much I ate before this!

Do any of you know if I can do a detox to get weed out of my system? I am not a smoker but tried it after surgery to help with nausea, I asked my surgeon in Mexico but he had no idea what that was. I have an upcoming drug test for a job and need one. Have any of you tried any?

where my incisions are it really hurts I can feel the scar tissue growing together but the one that really bothers me is the one inbetween my boobs. Any one experince this?

amina: I dont have sharp stabbing pains my upper back and shoulders are a little sore, But I do have pain high up under my breast on the right side more so then the left . I am still doing puree and liquid diet so I havent really ate any sugary foods or fatty. Ive been doing protein. I dont feel food so much brings it on but I am unable to tell

im having pains under my breast & high up where my ribs are im scared because I started hurting two days ago. Dosent feel like gas pain anymore more like achey and a little bit of stabbing pain im scared! I have lost 37 pounds in 3 weeks, How many of you had to have your out could I be having an attack??

I was nervous as heck too, Its not that bad make sure your hubby is supporitve and lets you sleep alot. nerves will go away once you are out cold. good luck

how would My gull bladder feel? its upper chest like right between my breast and a little lower, I do worry about that because I have lost 37 pounds in 3 weeks

I am experincing alot of gas pain and heart burn the last two days, I am taking Zantac in the morning and gas x but I have not experinced heart burn like this, It hurts!! what do I do? I asked my pcp for protonix. What else is good for heart burn should I go back to my prilosec?

so this week I am back to work and take my vitamn b12 pill everyday, I have not once felt tired except for when I get home It is so weird because before surgery I was exhausted now I am fine all day. I highly recommend this pill to everyone after surgery.
