  3. I was pretty sick the day after, I had a headache that wouldn't quit and I was throwing up. At that point I had a what am I doing moment,by the next day the headache and vomiting was gone andI was tooling around the surgical floor, anxious to be going home. I went home after four days in, haven't looked back since. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. So, I'm a little odd, I have no problem telling people how I lost weight. I too work in a school and I had my surgery the summer of 2014. I loved that people noticed my weight loss. There were a couple of people who were a little annoying, but I ignored them for the most part. Now that I'm two years out no one says anything. I think most people have forgotten that I was heavy Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Cow Girl Jane, I totally understand the looking young thing, the last time I was this size was my thirties. So to me my thin face looks old and I hated my neck at first, but it has settled down. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Just wanted to crow a little. At my year check up last summer I had reached a66% of excess weight loss goal. Currently I weigh between 172-174 down 100 pounds and a size 16 down from a size 26-28. The crowing part is my weight was exactly the same yesterday as it was six months ago. This means that while I'm not skinny I am able to maintain my weight! Yay! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Try eating more. You may not be getting enough calories. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I had stomach spasms and vomiting a few hours after, so I was in from Monday until Thursday. Once that was done not a lot of pain. Once out of the hospital I just used Tylenol for pain.
  11. I think part of the problem is that we are given so much information that it is easy to get confused. I too was given a three ring binder and it became my bible, but if I did not have it to look back on I would have gotten very confused.
  12. i am at the end of my weight loss journey, although I would like to lose twenty more pounds. I have been at my current weight for four months and am learning how to maintain it. in a few months I will work on the last twenty, right now I am loving me as I am.
  13. here's my take. my BMI was over forty when I had my sleeve. i weighed 272, i now weigh between 170 and 172. a one hundred pound weight loss abd a size sixteen, down from a size 26/28 my BMI IS 31, still obese. even so I am completely happy with this and this is probably where i'll stay
  14. By the way being below average intelligence is not being dumb, it's having an intellectual disability. Some one who's dumb has a normal intelligence they're just not using all of it.
  15. I too am over fifty and have a turkey nec and have noticed that it seemed to be firming up. I thought I was just getting used to it.

I don't huff and puff as much, but still have t use a daily inhaler. On the other hand my sleep apnea seems to be gone.
