    Hi guys!
I get on here every six months or so to update y'all I've never made a topic with progress pictures before, so I thought I would this time, as I've been maintaining below goal for almost a year now.

I ran my first half marathon in February and am running another in November, which is pretty cool! When not in race training mode, I run 3-6 miles, three days per week, and do HIIT style training (heavy weights and cardio) at the gym 2-3 other days per week. I tend to fluctuate between 150-153 lbs, depending on the time of month and just general day to day food/water intake.

I eat a 4oz steak all the time.. after the first 2 months and I was cleared. Might not finish it, but that's a different story.
Beer is carbonated and has alcohol, so should be off menu for at least 6 months to a year. After that it's a question of whether you still like it, or whether it likes you.
I eat sweets on special occasions, but mostly they don't taste as good. In general you'll be able to eat anything.. but whether you can tolerate it, like it, or should eat it.. those are different questions.

Thanks for the kind words, all!!
As as far as diet advice, during rapid weight loss I followed my surgeons plan to a T. I just kept losing and losing. I got to 10 lbs below goal (my goal weight was 163 lbs) and started adding back in some complex carbs to stop the weight loss. I've been in the 150-153 lbs range ever since.
FWIW, I still can't eat 4 oz in one sitting. I usually max out at around 6 bites of anything. I still eat high Protein, moderate fat, low carb - usually 50 or less carbs per day - and I count total carbs, not net carbs. During rapid weight loss I stuck to less than 15 per day.
I eat around 1,000 calories a day, sometimes a few extra if it's a long run or heavy workout day. I eat mostly protein and veggies, with an occasional serving of quinoa or a slice of sprouted whole grain toast with PB2 in the morning.
I cook every morning, pack lunches for myself and my husband, and also cook dinner every night. I've learned how to use herbs and spices to flavor my food and I really do enjoy cooking delicious and unique meals - we don't do boring, lol.
Oh, and I still only drink Water, one 6 oz cup of coffee every morning, and dry red or white wine.
All of this is my day to day norm, obviously - but if we have a date night, I'll eat a few bites of my husband's Pasta, or we'll share some cheesecake moderation is the spice of life!

Wow, your post is so judgemental on so many levels.
I know this is an open platform but hurling your negativity and judgement is just not forthcoming.

One thing you are wrong, I do not believe in responding rudely. I believe everyone is entitled to your opinions and I welcome you sharing your opinion and advice though it would have been more effective when communicated more nicely.

I understand that you are a mother and have your mother instincts but I believe because you are a mother, you shld also practise kindness towards another woman with woman issues and not jump with such strong judgements. Especially when that person is facing an issue that you may not understand but you choose to be critical anyway, based on your general reading and research but not on your expertise on the subject or expertise on my situation or medical backgrd.

I never said I will definitely be pregnant before 12 mths or when I meet my dr in January. And of cos I will listen to my dr or gynae on their advice but I would like to hear their expert opinion after reviewing my health in a few more mths as everyone is different.

Yes there are rules and research, and there are other people who were blessed with good pregnancies after being sleeved. I want to know how their experience was and I did not say that I will make my decision based on them.

You said you are not judging me but you proceeded to suggest that motherhood is not for me now. I'm sorry but you do not get to judge if I am prepared for motherhood based on one post that I made here. You only know that one tiny bit of information about me, and because you are a mother, you get to pass a comment that I am not fit to be a mother? And that being a mother requires a high level of selflessness, hence insinuating that I do not have that and to say that I am selfish?
All based on that one post, you have derived so much about me. Sorry, but can I ask, does being a mother make you so quick to judge a person and an expert on pregnancy to be so condemning on my post.

I know waiting to conceive or to have a child is worth a wait.. I am still waiting aren't I?

And you mentioned that you want to unsubscribe to this post? ...So you are willing to diss someone and pass quick judgements but you are not willing to read whats the response like because you assume it will be rude? Again, you have made another judgement and assume that I will respond rudely to you.

I know being a mother of 2 will prob take up most of your time and I should thank you for spending some time to reply on my post, which by the way, you made it sound like I am trying to kill the baby that I have yet conceived, or ever will conceive.

And after all that you had said so critically, you put a blushing smiley emoticon? Is that supposed to make it better and make it more friendly to me, because it left me confused.

By the way, if it did not come across in my words, I am still putting my tone down and saying all these words nicely.

If you are reading, then I hope the next time if anyone of similar situation as me, comes into your path, I hope and pray that person is treated with kindness, or at the very least, treated cordially, instead of being criticised and judged. You never know what that is going through like depression or whatsoever.

I just feel that whatever you wanted to say can be put across in a better way as how sharing posts should be in this platform as most people here are facing some kind of medical condition or unfavourable situationa. Even if you do not want to say it nicely or kindly, you can say it less authoritative.

    Thank you.

I had your normal week-2 week long stalls during active weight loss phase - maybe 2 or 3 of them? Those are pretty much standard and expected - your body is trying to catch up with all the massive pounds lost. No super long lasting plateaus, though. I know stalls are discouraging, but I promise - they're just part of the package! Stick to your plan and it will come off
I was a long distance runner before I started lifting weights, and was consistently at 150 lbs. Once I began lifting, I started fluctuating between 150-153 lbs. But that occasional 3 lb fluctuation doesn't bother me! My best suggestion to you would be to get active and get away from your scale. It will destroy your mind, if you let it!

Thanks all!! You guys are too kind <3
As far as skin goes, I have more questions about that than most any other issue. I have many friends who lost 30-50 lbs less than I did, around my same age (28), and were left with folds of excess skin.
It's highly uncommon to be left with so little after a weight loss as large as mine - and I wish I had words of advice for the many people who ask me daily what my "secret" was!
The truth is, your excess skin (or lack thereof) will have more to do with your age, general body composition, skin elasticity, and genetics, than it will have to do with anything you do externally.
I exercise and use regular lotion on my skin every night. That's it. That's all I've "done" to have so little excess skin. I chalk it up to a whoooooole lot of prayer and good skin tone & natural elasticity, honestly!
