October 2014 sleevers check in please!

I feel the same way. I mentioned that to my sister in law and she told me to go look at myself before the surgery. I guess it is the 75 lbs heavier picture that doesn't seem possible.

    Happy Days!

Hi, I had surgery on 10/22. Just like someone else the worst part was trying to get in an IV before surgery -- I think the 9th attempt was successful. Still have those bruises. Tylenol while in the hospital and once home no pain Meds. I found a little Reglan and Pepcid took care of any discomfort. Went Back to work in a week. Cleaning house in 2 weeks. Enjoying my purée/ soft food until the next stage. Just need to up my water intake and exercise. Hit the first plateau but by reading all of these posts I am staying positive about it. No regrets.

    Post surgery

It might even be from the tube being down your throat. Make sure you are doing breathing exercises. And go slow.

    SLOW LOSER

I also had surgery on 10/22 and lost 33lbs prior to surgery. Now post op I have only lost 15 lbs. I keep wondering how you could eat so little and not loose. It has to be survival. Your body working as it is meant to. Holding on in survival mode. It has got to give soon. We have to stay positive. We have all come a long way and we are only at the beginning of this journey.

October 2014 sleevers check in please!

Hi Everyone, had surgery on the 22nd. Highest 300, surgery weight 267 today 254. I am on soft foods. Must have eaten too fast today or something. Had some well cooked chicken soup. And threw it up. Not pleasant at all. Hopefully that won't happen again. I eat my protein first and can't get past that to eaten any vegetables nevertheless starches. But I will take the weight loss over eating any day. That is why I did this.
  6. Rev1379 are you getting any protein. If not that may help the tiredness.

  8. Not peeing is not good. Means you are still dehydrated. Have you tried some Gatorade like G2 at least it has flavor. Or suck on some sugar free pops. You need fluids!!!!!!
  9. You need to stay busy and focused on the final result. I am a stress eater, had the surgery a week ago and have been on liquids for over 3 weeks. I do get cranky at times but I made a decision to do this. I read a lot of others stories on these wen sites, see the successes and want to be one of them. The food stays out of my mouth. Find a new hobby, find a new friend about to go thru this but focus on the end result.
  10. Hi everyone, I'm doing ok. Not getting all my fluids in but not because it hurts or anything just don't feel like drinking and so I forget. Thinking I will go back to work on Monday. Don't want to get used to being home. My kids are liking it too much. My f/u is Thursday and waiting anxiously to advance diet. 4 weeks of liquids is getting to me.
  11. Hi, I was sleeved on the 22nd so am post op day 4. So far so good but I would really love some veggies.
  12. I am also have my surgery on the 22nd. Feeling nervous as well and excited. I have been on a liquid diet for the past 10days. I do not think anything can prepare us until we go thru the process ourselves. Best of Luck to you.
