  2. Hospitals and doctors offices are great places to get sick, maybe you have picked something up? I used mine for 2-weeks and I am fine.
  3. I'm two weeks out and I am able to eat soft foods including eggs, eggs salad, chicken and tuna salad as well as soft cooked veggies and pureed fruit. The only time I have an issue is if I eat to much or too fast.
  4. My surgery date was 1/27. I lost 17lbs before surgery and 9 since. Steady is what I'm looking for, as long as the scale is going down every time I step on it I am a happy girl!

  6. It could be either you need to drink more or you are not getting enough protein...or a combination of both. I'm 15 days out, I don't get as much hungry as my energy starts to bottom out and I know I need something.
  7. I initially took two weeks off, then opted to telework for 2. I only took off 1 week and am teleworking for 3. I want to get over the digestive issues (the runs) and be tolerating solid food before I go back.
  8. I had that too! It gets much better, I still have it on occasion (as they say, Never trust a fart LOL) but not nearly as much. On of my friends had surgery 3-years ago, she assures me it will stop completely.

  10. I'm so happy for you!!! You are doing GREAT!!! I am using Genepro unflavored protein, 1 small scoop has 30 grams of protein and you can put it in anything including coffee and soups. I mix it in pudding as well.
  11. I expected to be miserable but I feel great!! I'm kind of amazed! I hope the rest of you are doing this well ????

  14. I was supposed to, but I have problems with artificial sweetner so I bought Genepro. Its flavorless so I can mix it with anything, I really, like it.
  15. Anyone know of a good reason to back out???
  16. Hey! We have the same surgeon!!! Dr. Halmi is doing mine next week!
  17. Thank you!! It makes me feel much better hearing that!
  18. You may want to step back to liquids for a couple of days, then try soft food again. My husband had to do that. your tummy may not be ready for soft food yet.
  19. Prayers Love, I hope you get some relief.
  20. Has anyone on here with Ulcerative Colitis been sleeved. I know usually those with UC are really thin, I am the exception to the rule...yeah me! If anyone else on here with UC has had it done, please let me know how it effected you!
  21. my favorite tastes like a Mint Chip Milkshake. I use 3/4 c Skim or 1% Milk, teasp. of coco powder (more if you want more chocolate) a couple of drops of mint extract, unflavored protein powder, and about 6 ice cubes. I put it in my ninja mixer...yum!! I look forward to it!
  22. I'm on my third day of Pre-Op, it sucks but not as bad as I thought. I have three protein shakes per day, a cup of light soup for lunch, and veggies (1 c. cooked 2c. raw) for dinner. I'm glad I have a ninja, I can make some really good shakes with it!
  23. I picked the gastric sleeve because I have severe Ulcerative Colitis and my Gastro and Surgeon thought it was the best option.
  24. A good many of you have far more restraint then me. I enjoyed the holidays with its feeding frenzy...of course I gained 15lbs.
