Who has had an EGD?
They are also looking for Barrett's Esphogus, which is a pre cancerous condition. If you have it, they will recommend a by-pass as opposed to the sleeve. The by-pass basically "cures" the condition.

Who is scared to give up food?
I understand! I kind of think of it as taking my lover and making us just friends.

What is everyone NOT going to miss after sleeve?
I will not miss not doing things I really want to do (scuba dive, zip line, horseback riding...) because I'm too big and uncomfortable to do them.

Is it okay to ask your surgeon his mortality rate?
Of course you can! If he is offended you need to find a different doctor. They know your scared, and you should know all about your doctor!

January 26, 2015
My husband had the surgery 8 weeks ago, he is already down 65 lbs. I am so excited to join him. Right now when we are out and about I feel like people are saying "look at the handsome man with that short fat woman" and my only retort at the moment is that I'm not short he is just freakishly tall (6'8"). I wanna be a hottie too!!

professional 52yo worried about perception of other members of upper management?
I am a 50-year old professional myself, and honestly I don't give a rats furry behind what they think. This is for me, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired and hurting all the time. To me, having this surgery is going to improved my life which will make me a better employee. Honestly, upper management already knows I'm fluffy that is a fact I can't avoid no matter how much denial have. This can only be a positive for me, as will as my company. I think changing your life for the better is always going to be seen as a positive.
