The only advice I can give you is to walk and walk some more . Gas X didn't work for me the only thing that helped was to keep moving myself .

I also have BCBS NJ . I went for an extra visit during the six month monitored weight loss because I missed one appointment . The Dr. wanted to make sure we covered everything . I got approved first time .

I've only told a few people about my surgery. When they ask I tell them diet and exercise. The reason I don't tell them about the lapband is because one of my "friends" told me I was taking the easy way out . I just want them to know it wasn't just the surgery , I had to diet and exercise to lose the weight .

My surgeon sumitted my paperwork as so as he got everything he needed ( test results,6 months of diet,ect.) I'm sure yours will too . I never heard of the dictation part that you read about. Sorry can't help you there.

I had my sugery in march . It only took a month to get approved by Horizon BC/Bs of NJ .

I'm sure your Dr. won't stop them unless he thought they were unnecessary . But it sounds like you really need them . As you lose weight you may not . I would talk to the Dr. and follow his advice .

I was taking a diuretic for my high blood pressure before sugery and the Dr. told me to stop taking them . Because I was not able to drink as much and he didn't want me to get dehydrated .

The sugery will change your life . It will make it healthier and there for better .You will be glad you got it . I know I am . I got my band 3/5/08 . My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner

I have been taking 137mg of synthroid for the past 10 years . I got my band in march . The Dr. told me I would have to take synthroid for the rest of my life but, I'm off my cholesterol and high blood pressure meds.and blood test show I'm no longer at risk of developing diabetes .

I only met with my Dr. once before surgery and the second time at surgery . I didn't see him at my pre-op .

My favorite is EAS . You can get it at Walmart for $5.98 for 4 . They have 17 grams of protein in each and 110 cal. They also have EAS with 20 grams of protein and 170 cal. for $6.98 for 4 .

It took about one month for BCBSNJ to approve . They didn't give me a hard time or anything .

I had my surgery yesterday . I feel fine . Just alittle sore and tired . It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be . I have to drink 3ozs of water every hour and nothing else until Monday then I go on protein shakes . I can't wait to see the pounds come off.
