  1. I'm with ya, and I'm a month out. I just don't feel hungry much. 5:00 is a hard time, so I've been trying to keep a snack with me then, but other than that, I'm not usually hungry except at regular meal times. However... I am eating a snack in between breakfast and lunch and then at 5 - we eat dinner at 6:30. At this point, I am getting in about 1000 or so calories a day.
  2. google homemade babyfood. there are some good ideas out there. and of course something like progresso pot roast soup, stuff like that can go right into the blender.
  3. Congrats Betsy - 18 lbs. i still have one more week of pureed, then I move on to soft. the day I offically move to soft, I am hosting a bunco party. so, I think I will stay on pureed that day, just to not be tempted
  4. Hi mama, or tiffany welcome to the group. You are doing great. and I to have the issue of somedays being hungry and some days just not really wanting to eat. just trying to make sure to get that protien in.
  5. Thalia, congrats on your 21 lbs lost. and good luck with the staples tomorrow. I don't have staples, I was glued.
  6. KMC - congrats on your 7 and 20 total - I have my post op check up on monday. when I eat eggs (egg beaters white) I only do 3 tbsp which equals 1 egg, that's all I can manage. Usually when I eat, I get about 1/2 cup, but I'm hungry about 2 hrs later, so I will eat the other half of a serving then. according the nutrition tracker I'm using, Im only getting about 550-700 cal a day
  7. It has been pretty quite on here lately, so I thought I'd start a new topic. those of you already banded early in the month. How are are you doing? What are you eating, are you back to work, feeling any pain etc.? I have lost 12 since surgery - 25 total. wooo hoo. I am eating lots of purees of course. I found some sites to make homemade babyfood, so I've used them. Yesterday, I bought a can of campbells chunky chili with steak and Beans, into the blender it went. It was good - normally, I don't like beans, because of the texture, but hey they were being pureed, so why not. today, I got a can of progresso chicken corn chowder. It was not the best choice - 200 cal for the serving, but, I have been doing so good, I figured it was time for a little treat, and that is a much better treat than my former usual - Peanut Butter Cup I am back to work, but wed I over did it a little, so I developed a bit of a muscle pull. My kids are going to have to learn to help out around the house more. they were good the first couple of days post op, but once mom was up and around, it was like all bets are off. I do have my first Pampered Chef show post op tomorrow, but my daughter will be going with me to help carry everything. I'm excited and nervous.
  8. actually just testing my updated tracker
  9. the first "meal" I had on pureed was WW beef stew that my husband made. I took out an oz of the beef, a oz of the potato, and oz of carrot, took a little bit of the broth and put it in the blender - it was good. the next night he made a WW creole chicken - did the same thing, but this time, there was no potato, there was tomato instead. that was good as well. monday I started thinking about it - I was making babyfood. so, I went on line googled homemade babyfood, and got some ideas. I made up a chicken dinner for myself and put a few of those in the freezer ready to go. tonight, I made lipton cup a soup - broccoli cheese, took some left over ham in the blender - whala - broccoli, ham, cheese soup.
  10. I tried the special k - lemon and did not like the flavor. plus the money for it is high. what I do now - I just add 1tbsp of GNC unflavored protien to my crystal light it gives me the same 5 grams of protien with a flavor I like and a cost my wallet likes
  11. Jacks, I don't know how much the medi fast is, but I got GNC - with water they are 120 calories - 20 grams of protien and at riteaid, almost always buy one get one 50% off or or free, I think the pouch I bought was 15.00
  12. Has anyone pureed ham? my family is having ham for dinner this evening. I am wondering about pureeing it to put in my broccoli soup? what do you think?
  13. Hey 15th Gals, just dropping by to wish you a sucessful surgery tomorrow and a speedy recovery.
  14. Jen Hi, I called my doc today and they told me I could start on pureed tomorrow - yea!! and yes, I was like you I found that today< I was so hungry. I am looking forward to trying some cream of wheat tomorrow morning and mashed potatos!! I still have not gone back to work, but hubby did. I will go back next week, pending not needing to have a plantars wart excised from my foot which immobilizes me for 3 weeks.
