    Pregnant 6 months after sleeve

I got pregnant roughly 3 months after getting sleeved. I had zero complications. I lost about 5-10 pounds until the third trimester, when I gained about 5 lbs, so I stayed under my pre-pregnancy weight. Three weeks ago, I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby girl. And I was back to my lowest weight within a week or so after delivery.

    Starbucks Via?

Do you mean the coffee via, or the via refreshers? The coffee via is just micro ground beans, so it would affect you the same way as traditional coffee. The via refreshers do have a green coffee extract, though the caffeine content is not as high as coffee. Personally, I'd be more worried about the sugar in those.
  3. Yeah, also forgot to add; the walking the doctor will ask you to do while in the hospital is not necessarily walking for exercise. It's to help break up the leftover gas from surgery, and also, I believe, to lessen the risk of blood clots. So don't stress about that. You can go as slow as you need to, and I bet you could even have someone follow you with a wheelchair if you need a break. Don't worry about that part so much, the actual work comes when you are home and healed!
  4. Remember that your head gives up before you body does! Slow progress is still progress. You can only walk 10 feet today. That's totally okay. Tomorrow you'll do 12 feet. Just strive to be a little bit better than you were the time before, and soon you'll be up and about without even noticing! You can do this!

    I Want Soda ... BAD

I added some root beer extract to my vanilla protein shake. Tasted like a melted float. It wasn't perfect, but it helped with my soda craving. I've had a sip or two of diet soda since surgery, and every time my stomach hurts immediately, and it reminds me why I shouldn't do it.

    Pregnant Mama Check-in

Hi! I'd like having a place to check it! I'm 9 weeks pregnant, and 5 months post-op. My weight loss has been slow since getting pregnant, but my ob says it's okay to keep loosing, as long as baby gains. I have my second ultrasound at the end of the month, and I'm really nervous! I haven't had any symptoms besides fatigue and constant peeing, and I want to know it's still growing in there!

Thanks all! I called an ob, and he had a cancellation, so I was able to get in for a blood test. And yeah, it appears that i really am pregnant ???????? My first ultrasound is the Monday after Christmas. I am incredibly excited and nervous!!

    4 months post op and...

Maybe 4 weeks or so? I guess I could wait till Monday, but I don't wanna! Lol
  9. I got my first ever BFP on two home pregnancy tests!! My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years. What do I do now? My doctors office is closed until Monday. I'm freaking out a little bit here. I'm superstitious so I don't want to tell anyone, because I don't want any congratulations yet. Do I look for a walk in clinic that can do pregnancy tests? I don't want to wait until Monday if I don't have to. Again, freaking out a little. Thanks for your advice!
  10. Have you tried switching up the temperature of your water? Pre-surgery I only drank things at room temp. Afterwards, I really enjoyed cold water for the first time ever. Though I hear most people are vise versa.

August post op sleevers: Check in

Hi! I'm here too! SW: 325 (8/7/14) CW: ~266 I seem to be at a very frustrating plateau, it's lasted about 3 weeks now. Did anyone else stall around this point? I've been working out about 4-5x per week. I started tracking calories on my fitness pal this week, and i seem to hover around 700-800 calories. Do you think I should up my intake a little bit?

    Slurpee??? Anyone? Anyone??

Icee makes a water enhancer, I got it at the grocery store. The cherry one was awesome, it made my water taste like a melted slurpee. The blue raspberry one was meh. I was thinking about freezing the cherry one and making my own "slushie"

    My gym NSV!

Thanks! It's not exactly pleasant for me either, lol. I told my trainer I'm not going for the "9 week" goal the program sets for you. But the next time I'm on the treadmill, I intend to do one more interval than the time before. I'll get there at my own pace, but i will get there!
  14. I recently noticed that my workouts have been getting just a bit easier. So, I downloaded the c25k app to use on the treadmill. I tried it for the first time today. I made it halfway through the first workout, so a minute of jogging, followed by 90 seconds of brisk walking, repeated 5 times. Sure, I was "supposed" to do it 10 times, but for someone who couldn't jog all 6 weeks ago, I'll take it!
  15. How far post op are you?
