  1. Ok..I may be a stick in the mud here but I think that you should do as the doctor says. Its great discipline for us all. My doctor makes all of his patients go to informational seminar. During this seminar he clearly states that if you cheat while on this pre-op diet he will know by the color and size of your liver. If the liver is not what it should be he will close you up and cancel the surgery! Is he just B.S.ing us? Maybe, but I dont want to find out the hard way! I think that all the people that are saying that its ok because they got away with it are defeating the whole purpose of this site. We are here to encourage everyone to do the right thing and cheer them on. Maybe some of us are not aware of this, but the whole purpose of this liquid diet is to shrink our livers so that during the surgery there is less chance of the liver being nicked while they are in there. To me ...this is not a risk I want to take! So I will starve and be miserable if it means one less complication for me. I hope anyone else having this surgery takes my advice and just do as you are told. You wont be sorry!
  2. Sex...hmmmm...yet another benefit to Lapband! This just keeps getting better and better!
  3. Oh my God Mandy...Im right there with you, girl! I am so tired all the time and the hunger pains are horrible! But, as the marines say.."Pain is just weakness leaving the body"! Keep up the good work...one day this will be just a memory!
  4. I will be banded the 28th also Mandy so...see you there!
  5. I was told that there were some great before and after pictures on this site. I can't find them anywhere! I love to look at the progress people have made and to be honest its soooo encouraging to me. Where are they?
  6. Hello everyone, I heard about this great site from someone I just met today at the hospital while getting my clearance for surgery. I wish I had gotten her name because I would love to thank her! I will see her again though because we are scheduled to have our banding done on the same day, July 28th at University of Illinois hospital in Chicago. From what I am seeing here today, this is probably the most informative site I have ever seen on the internet. Thanks!!!!
