Good Morning, Cassandra we have all thought the same thing "what? are we crazy" but in all honesty if there was a lap band when I was in my 20's I would have had it done instead of spending all these years feeling so miserable about myself, I wouldn't have wasted all that precious time... Plus.... all the damage the weight has done to my body all these years. Keep thinking positive and think about where you'll be a year from now..... yep, keep that smile on your face. Hi Janet, I also have arthritis in my back and knees. I was not on any meds before surgery but was also told no anti-inflamitories Just recently I hurt my back so bad it took 6 weeks before I could even sit for more than 15 minutes. The only thing my doc gave me was pain killers and muscle relaxers. If I get really horrible days, I take liquid tylenol. I try not to take it to much because it really upsets my stomach. Bengay and a heating pad helps a tad. Sorry I can't give you the info your looking for but this is a great question. Eileen

I was addicted to McDonalds when I was in my late teens... never thought I'd break away but now, if DH says lets go to McD's I get PO'd b/c it just doesn't taste good to me anymore. All I can think about is that tiny burger and all those calories You can do it, you can break away. Think about all the harm that frankenfood has done to your life and think about this new chance you have to break free. :hug:

Well take it as a complement that they are all thrilled with your results and want your opinion/input (if you don't you'll go bonkers LOL). I have no doubt that all the diet whooplah will die down when they get used to seeing how great you look. I bet what your telling your sister is common sense, eat right, eat healthy, portion control, and exercise right? well most people don't want to hear that... they want a quick fix or they want a miracle diet thats gonna make them lose weight over night, a magic diet pill if you will. It sounds like your sister is not ready to get serious so don't beat yourself up when you see her eating junk, she needs to learn and like me...learn the hard way. Hang in there hon and don't get to frustrated

They approved me but jerked me around until 3 days before surgery... not nice thats for sure.

My BMI was 37.1 but because of my arthritis, back problems and high blood pressure I passed their requirements.

Watch that spinach Road I love salad and found that I could eat it about 6 weeks out, but check with your doc and keep it at the solid food stage... go slow. Salad is one of the solid food stage foods that I can eat very easily for some reason LOL.

Oh GOOD MORNING Lovies Betty, how about cooking some stuff this weekend and freezing it. One week in the freezer shouldn't do it any harm in taste and it would take a load off your shoulders. That really does suck that you have to work next Friday... actually its pretty crappy of the company.
