how long did you wait?
Initially at my first information session my surgeon told me 6 months and since I had already went to my pcp the month prior and was weighed there, it was considered the 1st month. Then I went to my surgeons the next month and the nurse took my insurance card and realized it was federal insurance and that they only required 3 months. By that time I had already been to my pcp and weighed 3 months in a row. A week later they submitted my paperwork and a week after that I was approved.

Ladies, what do you consider your ideal dress size ?
I would love to wear a size 8 or 10. I feel like at that size I'd look thin and still have some curves!

Slow weight loss - feeling very low
Girl keep your head up! It will come off. Stay off the scale, the scale can be your worst enemy. My first month and a half I would only weigh myself every other week. The program works if you work it, just keep doing what you're doing!

Pissed to the max!
I was constantly on the phone with insurance company and my doctors office during the approval process. It's your life stay on their butts about your paperwork and call everyday if you have too.

Ah! Penny! Why?!?!?(My 600 lb life)
OMG I was just telling my mom how upset I was with this woman after watching her episode. I mean her and her husband were just delusional and made up excuse after excuse. The scale doesn't lie every month. If you are doing what you need to do you will lose eventually and if you are 600+ you will definitely lose weight if you stick to the program. I love that show but her episode made me want to find her and slap her. Lol I mean I don't think I'm the perfect wls patient but I do work my butt off to be better than the person I was yesterday.

Developed Cold 3 days before surgery
I developed a cold a week before my surgery. I immediately went to an express outpatient medical clinic and got an antibiotic. I still felt a little under the weather on the day of my surgery but they said I was good to go.

A bikini, is it a reality....
Go for it, girl!!! I'm sure you are going to look beautiful!!! I can't wait to strut around in a bikini. I have at least another six months to a year before I'll be able to but I will. And I'm excited also.

Leaking incision & Low grade fever
It sounds like you probably have an infection. You definitely need to contact your doctor or possibly even go to the ER. You may need some IV fluids if you're feeling weak. Please don't wait around hoping things will get better. An infection can spread fast. I pray you feel better!

Vomiting and chest pains.
If you're having chest pains you should go to the ER and make sure it's not cardiac related.
