Happy<3

My surgery is on 1/26! Excited it is finally almost here. I have been waiting almost a year! Been through a month of eating my favorite foods for the last time, and looking forward to new healthy favorites. Nervous about complications, although rare, I just worry ????. Only a few friends and family know what I am doing, so a little anxious about telling people, especially my parents. My husband, children and a few close friends are very supportive. Looking forward to a happy and healthy new year!!

Yay! Congrats everyone! Insurance finally approved and surgery date set for Jan 26th! Surgeon booked until then. The countdown begins!!

Good luck everyone! My paperwork was submitted to insurance last Tuesday! It has been a long 6 months! Waiting impatiently!????

Thank you Jyoyonomore. I feel like I've been in a continuous panic attack since Thursday. I have been planning/obsessing/counting on this surgery for so long. I am so ready for a second chance for a new life and to change this mess I have made of myself the past decade+ !! I know everyone on here has probably been in a similar situation. I'm trying to hold on....????????

Panic mode here! Found out that one weight recorded 2 years ago when I went in with step throat and hadn't eaten for several days may cause insurance to deny coverage of surgery! Most frustrating thing is I can't get message or call through to my provider to explain! I hope I get through On Monday before they send records. This is the final piece of info they need and it might put and end to this journey after 10 months of going above and beyond to jump through insurance hoops.????????

I appreciate all of the surgery updates! Good to know what to really expect. Glad everyone is getting along fairly well. I'm still waiting for a date.........looks like I'll be into November now. Oh well it's been 10 months already, what's another month! I'm glad I got to sign into this group anyway! I have met some wonderful people and I have learned some valuable info. Good luck everyone!

Charlottesville, VA here! Last PCP appointment on 10/1 then everything will be submitted to insurance for final approval! Nervous, anxious, excited, all of this waiting has been agony! I have been mentally ready for this since about April! Seems like surgery will never get here!! Probably another 6 weeks or so until insurance approval and actual surgery date...............

Hoping for late October! Finishing insurance requirements at the end of September! Getting excited/nervous! Agree with recovery in cooler weather. Very motivating to get out and walk.
