Summer Rain

I was feeling the VERY same way and decided to call my insurance company today and they told me I was APPROVED and gave me my approval number!!! I still have to wait on my doctor's office to receive the letter HOWEVER; I am beside myself that I got approval so quick and now can move on to the next step!!! I really don't think people realize what an emotional journey this becomes!!!

Just got the call from the insurance company. I'm approved! Can't believe they only took five days to approve it. Now time to call the doc!!

I got APPROVED! Guess I really am that Fat..lol! Waiting on a date....excited and scared to death all at the same time!

I received a denial letter today. I was so frustrated because they denied without having all the info. I took a deep breath and called insurance. After review they found that they received the info they needed and stayed I should have an answer by Friday, at the latest Monday. Fingers crossed!!!!

I had my surgery on Monday everything went well; but I'm still in the hospital trying to get my blood pressure down.... Man it was rough sore and groggy! Yesterday I had to eat liquids everything 15 min sure is different and no laying down. Walk Walk Walk.. New life pray I get my pressure down and go home!!

Today is my surgery day. I'm heading to the hospital now. I'm so nervous. Please send out prayers for me. Thanks.

Finally approved late today & going in Tuesday, 10/28!

I was impatient, my paperwork was submitted on 10/16 called today and got APPROVED

It really is a pain in the butt, but it's worth it!

Waiting is the worst! I hope you all find out soon. Waiting for approval, even though we know we all did everything right and jumped through all the hoops, is nerve racking.

I survived my first stall. It was a long two weeks of that scale not budging. I hope it's a nice long time before this happens again.

I'll be leaving for the hospital in about an hour! After spending all last week with high anxiety about the surgery I feel strangely calm right now. All you sleevers that have already been sleeved...move over on that losers bench and make some room for me!!!!!

I cant believe it that today was my final weigh in and insurance has been submitted. I can't believe it is so close! It is a little overwhelming ! Hopefully I find out soon

Well, I'm off to be Sleeved... Not sure if I'll have a short Sleeve or long Sleeve, but one thing is for sure - when I leave - I will have a Sleeve. I am SO ready.

Wow! It literally sounds like I wrote this. everyone is totally in shock I really went though with the ENTIRE process this time and that I'm actually getting surgery. Just waiting on my insurance approval at this point. It was submitted today! Good luck to you on your journey

Holliwood1980, were all there at some point in time. I have this week left and the closer it gets the more nervous I get, but I'm still excited also. :-)
Hang in there what your feeling is normal.

The insurance company submitted my paperwork and two weeks later I am approved! I am so excited but finally the nerves set in. I have been halfway through this process before only to quit for one reason or another. I finally had enough and pushed through the months of testing and craziness. I have never even been close to my ideal weight for my height. I can't even imagine it. I am so nervous for surgery. The biggest surgery I've ever had was getting my tonsils removed. I think what's worse is knowing that my family members are very nervous about it. I think for the first time in my life I am doing something that I want without letting anyone talk me out of it. I know it will take forever for December 18th to get here!

My case manager finally got back to me today. This morning I called her and she said that Optima made the decision that anyone who was already enrolled in the 12 month program had to finish the 12 months. Obviously I was very disappointed but I decided to keep on track and keep my head motivated. Then a few hours later I receive an e-mail from her asking me to call. She said Optima just had a meeting early this afternoon and decided to make a change. That anyone enrolled in the program WOULD be eligible in 6 months regardless of when we started! So, my 6 months ends in December and I should be ready for surgery some time around January!!! I'm so excited! What a blessing!
