Got my new Fitbit to make me accountable for 10,000 steps

HELL YES, Lap Band again. Slow weight loss is hard but I am here for life and I have the time

I had a little backslide. Had a bad fall in ice. Bed for two weeks and working part time two weeks. Now physio and doing little. I am trying to get back on track. Swimming and walking. I have to start watching what I eat and get back on track

I am not prepped and ready but willing to wing it today. Gym with daughter after work.

I did a step class last night. I have not recuperated from my first Zumba class Saturday yet. I was going to go to the gym tonight but in the winter my life revolves around good weather driving. The storm has just started here

Way to go -- so happy for you! I hope to be able to post the same later this year. What a tremendous accomplishment. We have turned our lives around.

I went to Slimband. There aren't a lot of Slimband people on here because we have our own private community. Slimband was great! Everyone has been so nice and helpful, and the support team is always there for me when I have questions. I am 3 weeks post-op today

I was just thinking about this as I tied my shoes. When I was 300lbs, I couldn't breathe when I bent over to tie my shoes! Now, not only can I breathe, but I can even continue a conversation while doing so! ...it's these (not so) little things that make this journey so worth it!

I love to see long term bandsters and successful . congratulations, I wish you many more years of health and well being.

Just weighed myself and I am 199 with a starting weight of 287. My lap band surgery was completed on January 15, 2014. I feel (and look-/LOL) amazing! I have energy and am accomplishing so many great things in my life. The lap band gave me a new lease on life. I'm loving ONE-derland. By the way I haven't even officially started exercising yet. Just moderate walking and so forth. I'm so proud. I'm 5'11 and 199 now so slowly getting out of that overweight stage lol

Hello, haven't been on here for a long time. Wanted to say hello to everyone and see who was still here. I think I have done OK with the band. I have passed my goal weight by 15 pounds. (I think those last pounds were my boobs!) Had a few rough issues and my band had to be emptied. ..as in fluidless for over a year now (still down 75 pounds from then) so I guess all is well. Except I could hurt someone for a beer!!!!

I had breast reduction 17 years ago. There hasn't been one day that I regret. The surgeon lifted things and they look great

So today marks 9 weeks since my surgery and I've lost a total of 14kg (30lbs for those that don't use metric). This week also marked my first real NSV (Non scale Victory). I made a visit to my hairdresser (who also happens to be one of my besties) and she made the comment to me that when she grabbed at my hair it felt like the back of someone else's head. That might sound weird but she was referring to the fact that the nape of my neck has changed and the 'hump' at the back of my neck has gone!!! great feeling...

I am the kind of person that likes to weigh every day (for good or for bad) and am very results-oriented. So sometimes it is hard to look at the scale and not see a change and yet think in terms of NSV's.
Taking some before and 'after' pictures for me has been very rewarding! I couldn't believe what a difference just 20 pounds made.
Also, my mother-in-law called me quite some time back and asked what bra size I wore because she was at a department store and they were having a mad sale. I was so embarrassed to tell her the truth (band size, not cup) that I told her 2 sizes down. and of course I couldn't wear them. That was probably over a year ago. But guess what?! I can fit into them!
