6 weeks Post Op
I woke up today feeling great and for the first time no reminders of my surgery. It is important to take the time to recuperate this isn't a race to the finish line. This is the start of a new way of life.

reflections on a Monday morning
I got a fitbit. It wants me to walk 10,000 steps. Quite amazing to see an actual accounting for your exercise. Sine I was low on steps today, I got my walking sticks out and went for a long walk.

LapBand-friendly fast food (don't judge me!)
I watch the huge amounts of food others eat and wonder how I could have ate that much. I kept my banding very secret so eating at friends and family is difficult

Ready to throw in the towel
This is a life decision for me. There is no 'throw in the towel' on my health/wellness. Sometimes I expect will be easier, sometimes harder. I had no insurance coverage, paid every cent for my life change. I wish everyone Good Luck and read everything and get advice from your doctor when required

55 and just starting my journey. First fill won't be for a few weeks. Just recuperating, getting the body moving and starting the gym!
