  1. Why is it now people's posts get cut off and you have to go click more to see the complete post?
  2. NYU has an online course. The website is thinforlife.com
  3. I would call now just to make sure. It could resolve by Tuesday.
  4. I was expecting 5 but when I woke up it was only 2. One in my belly button and one under my left breast.
  5. Good luck. I'm 3 days out. Feeling sore but ok.
  6. Wow. Congratulations! You look great
  7. I was banded the same day and stayed overnight in the hospital for one night. I weighed myself today and I was up 3lbs from the date of surgery. Don't worry. It's just liquids from the post op etc. it will come off in a few days I'm sure.
  8. No hernia repair. I was told I could take milk of magnesia so I will do that but wondering when I should pull the trigger so to speak.
  9. I tried it myself today. You have to keep stirring and stirring.
  10. I'm on a liquid diet. Not clear liquid. I'm not putting much in and have not even drank one 11oz protein drink yet so I'm not sure what could come out!
  11. Ok this may be TMI but when after your surgery did you have your first bowel movement? Im still waiting on mine and it's been almost 72 hours post surgery.
  12. Seymour I'm on day 3. What were you eating? Right now I'm just having Water and some tomato Soup. I'm not having it as a meal. I'm just sort of grazing.
  13. I had the same thing!! My surgery was at 4:30 but didn't actually go until 5pm. I just swished water and ice in mymouth and spit out. Being thirsty was the worst!!!!!
  14. I felt the same way. I already posted about being afraid of being hungry. The pre op diet taught me that I can do this, that I'm capable of sticking to something. And it taught me how I can live and thrive on so much less food. I have always heard that you need x amount of calories to lose weight but the pre op diet flies in the face of this. Is it our bodies are using fat reserves? Have no idea.
  15. Thanks for posting. It's inspiring for those of us just starting out to see what a difference a year makes.
  16. Thanks everyone. I had a little less than a half cup of protein drink and felt some pain. Thinking i should stick to quarter cup. Water has been fine.
  17. Was banded yesterday. Hanging in there
  18. I'm done! Stayed the night in the hospital because not finished until late. So glad I did. Nurses were wonderful here.
  19. I'm on the other side today. Surgery went well. I am here for 1 night. Just got up to walk. Left shoulder pain tolerable...so far
  20. I had my surgery today! I ended up staying over because I was finished so late and I figured that I should stay and be taken care of with no pressure of kids etc. so here I am. All I'm having is some gas pressure. Did some walking. Going again and then night night for me.
  21. Banded November 4... TOMORROW in New York.
  22. Can you do the pre op diet to lose the weight? I lost 1lb a day.
  23. About 24 hours away. I'm scheduled to go at 4:30pm. I was hoping to be the first one!!! Need to be at the hospital at 2pm.
  24. I'm down 15 on pre op. Anyone else's skin dry? I'm thinking it's from the lack of fat in my diet and the weather change in NY
