  1. Correction: it automatically downloaded! Thanks so much
  2. When is the update going to be available? Don't see it there yet
  3. Meggs Let us know how you are feeling when you come up for air!
  4. Congrats sofab! Does your band have any Fluid in it? I was originally told I would have 2cc and I felt restriction after surgery but I found out yesterday my band is empty and the swelling was the restriction. Now I'm feeling more hungry which I was told by my surgeon's office is to be expected before my first fill. Now that I know I have nothing in my band and no restriction my mind is wandering to all the things I could eat (knowing that I am still healing 7 days post op). I wish I had never asked about what was in my band! ????
  5. I was a stomach sleeper before surgery. I have been sleeping on my back or a little on side. Maybe that is it. I am otherwise doing ok just trying to get reconditioned. Appetite has returned on day 6 and no fill for 3 more weeks. I start mashies Thursday. 1 day early per my surgeon's office. Yeah! Back to work Wednesday
  6. I'm day 6 and today are having bad shoulder pain even though I am walking. Ugh!
  7. Congratulations!!!
  8. I have pain like an ache as if I worked out hard 6 days pre op on the sides of my back. Not kidney like pain but an ache. Anyone have this?
  9. I'm newly banded also so I have no advice but wanted to say how great your loss is already! Keep up the good work
  10. Weekends are hard because there is little structure to the day. If I was at work it's easier because I was busy etc.
  11. Me too. Right now I am not eating with my family. It's a short time and I know one day soon I will be able to eat with everyone else. However I have to do the cooking for them so i cook the food but don't eat it. Since I haven't been eating real food for about 3 weeks now I tell myself I can lick what I want off spoons once while cooking!!!
  12. Anyone want to connect on MFP? I am briefs99 (not 199). Let me know if you want to connect. I find it's another way to get support and to track your protein etc.
  13. This looks awesome. I can't wait to try when I am on full foods
  14. Alex is working on it
  15. I just PMd Alex.
  16. Lapbandchica I feel the same way with the gas! I was never really gassy before the surgery. Now I'm so gassy that when I walk I can feel it moving around inside me. I just got over my constipation and so concentrating on Water intake and getting my Protein in. One day at a time.
  17. Lapbandchica. I was banded 11/4. How are you feeling?
  18. No this is just something that started to happen the last few days. Weird. It's annoying!
  19. Good luck to you both!!! I just had surgery on November 4th.
  20. On my mobile Apple phone.
  21. For those of you being banded November 11th, how are you doing?
  22. I also found the weekends to be difficult during my pre op diet. If you cheat do something like eat 1 oz of chicken breast. Put down the chips! LOL
  23. I have this fear of being at work or at a business lunch and getting stuck or throwing up/PBing. I'm only a few days on the other side but does anyone have any advice? Should I only eat Soup at business lunches for a while? Should I keep extra clothes at work in case I throw up or slime on myself? If I PB would I throw up at the table or would I know it's coming and get to the bathroom? It's one of those irrational fears especially since I haven't told anyone at work except for one friend. Any advice appreciated.
  24. I have a friend who told me that she is afraid she will be the only fat one left of our friends if I lose weight. I don't know what to think of that comment!!! I am trying to be sympathetic to my obese friends. Being left behind is scary and let's face it society does judge you by weight. I am trying to let these comments roll off my back for now. I just had my surgery and assume I will be confronted by more as I start to lose and it shows.
