For thanksgiving... Enjoy your friends and family. They will inhale a plate of food in 20 minutes while we can take our time with ours and enjoy it just as much ! And we don't have to make ourselves sick. Maybe focus on decorating for Christmas, or watch football, or just talking about something different.
    We got this !!

As some have said the divorce rate after surgery is high.
Not necessarily because someone has more confidence... there's MANY Factors...
But you can take a person, have them lose a significant amount of weight, and not expect THINGS to change.
Here's some of the things... there's a lot more
    - WL person has more energy and wants to do more. Spouse hasn't changed and so a separation begins
    - Spouse becomes jealous ... either they can't lose weight, or of other people.. or hundreds of different reason for them o be jealous
    - WL person is getting more attention and not sure how to handle it
    - Change of interest from WL individual.
    - biggest. Non communication about the issues and feelings of the changes the WL person is having.
PLEASE.. if you are thinking of having surgery or just had surgery. Get counseling. Make sure your spouse and you have a good head on your shoulders. If problems come up, get yourself to counseling before things escalate.

Today was my first day of pureed foods. I had Taco Bell Pintos n cheese and it was awesome eating food. Tonight I had some light yogurt. I didn't get all my Protein in because I ate the small amount of food instead of my Protein shakes. I'll have to figure that out. So far, so good on my new tummy. Tomorrow morning, scrambled eggs.

Hey everyone, it's a "does anyone else have this" post:
I've noticed just over the last hour or so that I am getting a moderate pain in my left abdomen, about midway between my belly button and my side. (This side has been more sore because that's where they pulled my stomach out.) I get just a little jolt of pain and then it goes away. Of course (TMI) I haven't had a bowel movement of any kind in the last couple days so I'm thinking it may be that???
    Thanks!

Gummy is absolutely right. You will not feel that full feeling until you get to eating solid foods.
There's a valve at the end of the stomach called Pylorus. It stays open for liquids. So liquids are just passing through. When food gets in there, it shuts and holds the food in there for digestion. That's why later down the road they don't want you drinking too close to eating. You don't want that food passing through and causing you to becoming hungry sooner. Which leads to more consumption of food.
Hope that helps and I felt the same way. I felt I could intake too much. It's not that. The Doctors are just letting your body heal. You're not doing anything wrong

This is my day today ...
So I just had my 2 week follow up and I"m just happy. I absolutely LOVE my surgeon. So he took a look at my incisions and I told him I was allergic to the glue. Even showed him the pic that you guys saw, he said "Yup, out of all my years of doing this, I've only see 3 people who really are allergic to the glue.. and you are one of them" . He said a lot of people think they are allergic, but I really was. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm special like that LOL
Also I told him about me stalling for 5 days, and he gave me that look.. then said "I don't care about weight loss right now... you tell me why I don't care about weight loss" .. I said, "Because I'm healing?" ... he smiled and nodded. He also said that the reason for these food steps has nothing to do with the diet, but everything to do with healing. He said, go ahead and use salt, use pepper, use your seasonings. You're eating such a small amount compared to before surgery. Enjoy it.
Also said I can start transition into puree on Wednesday, but only at night for the first week. He said on the third week of any meal type, use it as a transition into the next. I thought that was smart !!
He said he wants to see me in 3 months and is looking around a 24 lb loss. To me that seems small, but maybe he just sets it low so people don't stress out.
Hope everyone have a great day. Thanks for reading my rant

@@lovelytrl, can't really offer any words of advice but I can tell you you're not in this alone. I'm having the same thing I a lot head hunger, especially, since in the last week I've been around people eating some of my favorites.
On a good note, I found a recipe on this site that was delish. Cottage cheese in a processor, pureed till creamy, a little cinnamon & splash of vanilla extract w/ one packet of sweeter. So good, doesn't sound good but trust me it was.
I also had corned beef hash in the food processor, looks awful but also tasty.
Hang in there, it will get better. We'll get through it together.
