    Left sided pain

I didn't have that pain though I did have pain under my breastbone for several weeks but I. Believe that was from the hernia repair and from the gas they pump into you during surgery. It's never a bad idea to speak to your surgeon about your concerns. Hope you can get to the root of this problem.

    Post op struggle.

Hi Heather, I realize you will get many responses this post. Here's my take. Yes try and go lower fat high protein, and low pasta, But at three weeks you are still seeing what tastes good, what feels ok in your stomach. Go for the protein but enjoy small bites of what you like. We don't do well when we feel deprived, Your tastes will change, but do find moments to savor what does taste good. I think I lived on Campbell's chicken noodle soup with instant mashed potatoes to make it thick enough to stay in my stomach. I also had tiny bites of pasta. Still do. It's in my DNA to crave pasta and sugar. I don't eat it all the time, but I do have it sometimes as long as I get protein. Also we cannot get the full amount of protein we need in that tiny stomach we now have. You will build up to it. It's a slow process, you will get there. We believe in you. Trust your body, it knows what it's doing, Hope this helps coming from someone who had the sleeve on 7/14/14. I have lost 95 pounds. I feel wonderful. I have 30 more to go. Things are slower now, but it's coming off. Good luck and many blessing so you,

Christian sleevers any the just had...

Hi I want to apologize for my silence on this thread. I am still at 95 pounds lost. I am slowly beginning to lose a little more but I will say this. It's life changing. On every level, Spiritually, physically, emotionally and personally. I have lots of support and have never looked back from my decision. I do recall thinking after day 3, what was I thinking? Thank goodness for time, it heals everything. I am surprised at how people who didn't know I used to be 95 pounds heavier treat me. With respect and interest. We should and I use the term broadly, care about each other regardless of our size, appearance and ethnicity. But we don't always do that. I have on an emotional level been able to now understand how someone who is looked down on because of the color of their skin might feel. I have to say I am thankful for such a lesson. Though I have always treated people with great respect, it is still a revelation to experience the huge disrespect our society places on obesity. I thank the Lord he is so much bigger than that. I Love you all and even more so as I hope to get to know some of you.

    Prayers needed please

Praying and will be praying As you both sort all this out and choose treatment. Praying the healing power of the God of Heaven will send his Angel-armies to fight this disease and eradicate these cancer cells. Much love to you and may healing be in His wings that are resting over you. In Jesus Name and By His Grace, Amen! Love Kathy

    Curse you, Diet Coke!

My Dr says absolutely no carbonated drinks. So I quite all soda a week before surgery, I had a headache for a full month. I can now have caffeine for my first beverage in the morning. But after that's it's decaf for me. I have gotten used to it. Once in a while I get a sugar fee chai from Starbucks when meeting a friend, and I don't worry about the caffeine, but it's a rare treat.

    Is this even logical?

I didn't have to do eight weeks of anything, in fact I was able to move to soft foods faster because I have IBS and I did very poorly with just the liquids the firsT week. My dr was going on vacation and he said I could do soft solids in very small amounts. By the time he returned I was able to try anything that was appealing as long as I chWeed it very carefully.

    Itching all over!

Hi Jas, About two weeks after my gastric sleeve surgeryI also had this intense itching and rash.it was around the 5 incisions and also spread to my thighs. I contacted my surgeon and he order cortisone cream. The whole thing cleared up after a month, the only explanation I can hint of is that the sleeve surgery had some product in it like a wire or staple or stitching that my body was having a reaction to. Hope that helps, my advIce? See your Dr. There isn't anything he hasn't seen.

    A lot of tea

It should just go right thru you. Fluids go slowly right thru the stomach that's Why the experts tell us to drink constantly slowly but constantly.

Christian sleevers any the just had...

Hi I wrestled with myself over getting the sleeve for five years. It was my husbands idea, and when I prayed I got a huge go ahead for this. My pastor was very supportive. This is medically necessary after all. I have a spine issue. Scholioses that cannot be surgically improved. So I had to lose the weight in order to get this pressure off my back.when I had the surgery I gave up my pain mess my Celebrex and all muscle relaxants. Big step. I remember after surgery, having this dream. I was wrestling with someone, asking God please please take this back pain away, how will I move and exercise if I am in this pain even after surgery. I woke with a residue of post op surgery, from the sleeve, but my back pain is Gone! How great is that? It took a few weeks to sink in. But as I realized that I would not ever need Celebrex again I believe God healed the part of my back that produced unbearable pain. It has never returned. Why doesn't he straighten my back completely? I don't know. But I know he has a reason and I'll take what he has given me. That's my story, was it right to have surgery? You bet it was!
