Thanks for the encouraging words. My liquid diet is only 6 days. My stomach is cramping and I feel like I've had the flu for 3 days. I did sit in the same room as my kids while they ate pizza. Which was a weakness for me. I am happy to say I survived without a bite.

I had the same concern. I started at 279 and now, 4 months later, and still 2 months pre op I am down 30 pounds. I called the Dr's office a couple times. And they told me that most people that do wls can lose weight. It's keeping it off that is the hard part. A lot of people yo yo. They told me the insurance company would look at it as though I'm all in and willing to make the commitment and changes that need to happen for this process to work.

Don't be nervous. You are making the right decision. You have probably been dealing with this for years and have had enough. I still have 3 months to go on my 6 months pre op. I just can't wait to get to the beginning of my new life.

I am officially the lightest I have been in about 10 years!! I feel like I could do anything right now.

I already have a shopping trip planned with my daughter next year! Can't wait

Everything for my surgery even the follow ups and skin removal is covered. Thank god. My eval was about the same. Even asked if my family has any addiction problems. Oh boy do they. But I told him I'm not my family, I'm me.

They say Hair loss only comes from nutrient deficiency. Not extreme weight loss. And there's no reason to give up now. It's a permanent change. Call your surgeon or dietician and see if they can help. Maybe your not getting enough Protein. There could be a lot of variables

food has already let you down! ! If it was your best friend then why would it put your health at risk? This is a big change but it is for the better :-)

I haven't had my surgery yet. But my family is changing along with me. It's there way to show support. I have a 11 year old that is a little overweight and a 7 year old. One of the reasons I'm doing this is to set a good example for my kids. So getting them to figure out how to make it in life (hopefully without having to go through a process like this) would be the one of the greatest things I can do for them.

I have told everybody that I am having surgery. I have found most people are supportive. I had a couple people say why can't you just excercise. And I have told them if that was all it took I would have lost the weight 7 years ago. I have also used my personal life as a way to educate people about wls. People are usually scared of what they don't understand so take the opportunity to explain it to them!!

They found a hiatal hernia when they did my scope. The only pro let I was having good was a little extra acid reflux. And they are planning to fix it when I get my sleeve.

The psych evaluation was a little scary. Not going to lie. It almost feels like an interrogation. I sat there wondering the whole time if I said something wrong. But just be honest

I am very excited to get the sleeve in 4 months. I can't wait to change my life around and just feel good in general. Is anybody else getting there's done in late October or early November?
