October sleevers.. Where is everyone from
What site is it?

Normal?
Karen, I was sleeved the day before you, and I feel the same way! You are doing way better on the protein front. My surgeon & dietician recommend diluting 100% juice. I feel way better after I drink about 2oz of juice mixed with 2oz water. Might be worth a try. Of course, it's empty calories, but I think it's worth it while we are on liquids.

3 weeks Post-Op Question
I LOVE my FitBit Aria scale! They are kind of expensive, but worth it. They sync via wireless to your Fitbit account. Other people can use the scale, but weights are hidden online. The graphs that come with the Fitbit program are awesome. Plus, Fitbit syncs automatically with MyFitnessPal. It also tracks body fat %.

ONE YEAR LATER - See Where You'll Be!
This is so great. Thank you for posting!

Aetna requirement
I think this means overall. If you have six weigh ins, and the weight goes: 1) 440 2) 430 3) 435 4) 425 5) 445 6) 435 You still have lost a net of 5 pounds from start to finish, even though one week you might be above your starting weight.

Sleeve tomorrow- hoping this time works!
Do you still have your patch on behind your ear to help the nausea? (Scopolomean or something) It could possibly make you dizzy.

OCTOBER 2014

Sleeved on 10/13/14
I just had a c-section last November and was sleeved on Monday (13th). I took pain medication for about a week after my c-section. I haven't taken any medication since I left the hospital on Tuesday. I think the pain itself is not the same. After the c-section my whole abdomen hurt! My incisions only hurt now when I bend over.

October Sleevers?
Congratulations! I know what an amazing feeling that is! I was sleeved on Monday (13th). I'm feeling great. I can't even comprehend how little I can eat currently. It's crazy! Good luck with your surgery!

length of time in hospital
I had my surgery at 7:15 in the morning. I couldn't go home until the next day (even though I did everything possible to go home the same day =) )

Newbie looking for Oct sleevers!
Karen! It will be ok. I cried the whole way to the hospital yesterday. My husband and I have a 10 month old, and getting a serve was the largest decision I have ever made. I cried when the nurse was hooking me up to the IV etc. My hospital gave me a relaxing drug and that is the last thing I remember until being very groggy in the recovery room. I hope they do the same for you; I couldn't back out and I truly don't remember anything in the operating room! Good luck today, I know you will do great =)

Looking for 10/13 surgery buddies
I did not. I had to go to supervised weight visits though for 6 months. Did you have to lose a specific amount?

Has anyone experienced low BP and HR after WLS?
@@JustWatchMe I'm only about 5'5" (on a good day haha). I bet it scared you! Are her symptoms controlled? Good news, most girls grow out of it around 25. I'm 26 and haven't passed out since May =) There were times I would pass out several times a day.

Has anyone experienced low BP and HR after WLS?
I have Neurocardiogenic syncope, which causes low blood pressure and causes me to pass out. I've had it for about 12 years. When I told my electro physiologist I was having a sleeve done, they said sometimes people develop NCS or POTS after. I would recommend trying to see Blair Grubb in Toledo, OH. He is the #1 electro physiologist in the world. Let me know if you need anymore information or any support! Yahoo! Groups has a great support group for people with dysautonomia.

Looking for 10/13 surgery buddies
I'm also on the 13th!!!! Super excited, but nervous. I got all of my test results back this week. My vitamin d levels were low, so I started taking a supplement. I didn't have to do a pre-op diet; I just have to do a liquid diet the day before. Good luck to you both!
