Normal?

I was sleeved in Tuesday 8/14. Came home Thursday and have been plugging along on my liquids. Today when I got up (worse than yesterday) I just feel weak/tired and a little light headed. Yesterday I got in 80 g of protein, 64 oz fluid but only 444 cal. (Goal 700-900). Bp was 123/72, hr 92. No fevers. Some discomfort on my left side, but better every day. Down 6.4 pounds from surgery.? Is this normal as my body adjusts? Any suggestions? I was thinking of trying some G2 - my fluids have been pure water or water mixed in my protein shakes. Thanks in advance!!

Karen, I was sleeved the day before you, and I feel the same way! You are doing way better on the protein front. My surgeon & dietician recommend diluting 100% juice. I feel way better after I drink about 2oz of juice mixed with 2oz water. Might be worth a try. Of course, it's empty calories, but I think it's worth it while we are on liquids.

Feeling weak, tired, and light headed for weeks after surgery is completely normal. But check with your doctor if you are concerned.
