Veterans ONLY please. One year + post op.

I too have put on 8 pounds in past 6-8 months. I know what I've done and having a hard time stopping. I absolutely love the caramel frappes from Mc Donald's and StarBucks! I know they are wrong, I find I can't stop myself from getting them when I'm out and about. Specially with my daughter, she's hooked on them also. My surgery was Oct 2014. I can't stomach the Unjury shakes either anymore. My husband said if I could smell them I would've never started drinking them. My nose stopped working 3 1/2 years ago for no reason at all. Doing pretty good with other junk food, chocolate of any kind in anything I can't eat. I have to get strong and reject those nummy frappes, oh so hard.
  2. I have fibromyalgia, I had sleeve done Oct 2014 and I'm not having pain all the time. I have lost 64 pounds and it is still there but a lot easier on me.

  4. Just back from Western Caribbean cruise 7 days! Wonderful!!! Yes I drank, only one time I had 2 drinks in a row. Didn't hurt me at all, I just got tired quickly. Food was delicious, I can't do carbonated drinks at all. Found out a new drink for me, Miami Vice So so good.

  6. To this day and it will be 2 years Oct 27, I have told 4 people. My husband, my daughter and 2 sisters. One who wants wls but can't do it, has many problems. Just found out last month she will need a liver transplant before long. So no surgeon will touch her now with that and many other problems. Didn't even tell my son, he thinks I've done good in 2 years losing weight. 2 brothers and 4 sisters I have all say looking great! My mother had gastric bypass back in the 70's. she is super skinny now at 81, and younger siblings don't remember. I reminded them when her pain pills weren't working and she would cry in pain. The patch is working great for her, alzhiemers ? has mad her not eat , her food intake is not enough. I have recommended protien drinks for her at least twice a day. So when older you have to make sure someone knows of weight loss surgery. If you happen to be forgetful.
  7. I was in hospital for 3 nights, they still made me have someone with me.
  8. I've been seeing my family doctor every 6 months and just had my 2nd year blood work done. All good to go I did stop after my 1 year mark seeing the surgeon. Maybe it's wrong? But my 2nd insurance doesn't pick up payment for him.

    Please allow me to vent.......

Yes go to the seminar and ask questions, they are the people who really got me to do this. I wanted it, but then my first seminar was the icing on the cake. I only wish I would've know about this procedure years ago. I was 57 when I had this done. I love buying regular size clothes, I never would get into a dress. Now I have 2, one for summer and one for winter. Going on cruise for my 2 year Anniversary to Eastern Caribbean Oct 16.

    What's on your plate?

If I need a snack at night because we eat very early like between 4-5pm most days then I get a frozen low fat yogurt. It's good that way, I do have to stick it in microwave for 18 sec so I can at least get a spoon in it lol.
