  1. Hi, I had my surgery in June. I was insulin dependent. Since surgery I have been off all meds for diabetes. I watch what I eat and while I have not lost the amount of weight I was hoping to I exercise daily by either walking or taking a Zumba class six days a week. This helps to keep my A1C in check. Good luck to you
  2. Evening Primose 500 mg in AM and 500.mg in PM definately cured mine.
  3. Iam so disappointed in myself. I never feel full.i feel just like I did before the surgery. I can eat a complete portion of McCanns quick and Easy oatmeal. Today I was just so fed I had 2 snack packs of pop corn and nothing.. Even had a soda. None of it bothered me at at all. I have no discomfort just normal feeling. Did this surgery work? I am begining my 6th week and have lost weight but now that I am on regular food I still feel like a bottomless pit. I just want to feel full. I walk an hour a day drink plenty of liquids yet as far as food there does not seem to ge a limit to the amount that I can eat. Most of the time I just stop myself because I know I should. When I had the popcorn and soda it was like I wanted to see if anything would happen. Because while I know I had the surgery it seems like I could eat a whale. I just do not know what to do anymore..... HELP!!!
  4. I prepare the McCanns Steel Cut Oatmeal as on directions for the Quick and easy . My question is i can eat the whole thing with a handful of blueberries. Is this to much . I have no trouble finishing it.
  5. Does anyone use Chobani Yogurt?

  13. Hi Angie, i started walking the day after I got home. At first I did 2 10 min walks and have gradually increased it to 30 min. I am walking at a leisurely pace in the beginning I was really slow. As far as sleeping on your side being a side sleeper myself I put a pillow down against my side to cushion my stomach. I would wake up in the beginning but now 3 weeks after no pillow and sleeping well. Sorry I cannot help with the liquid intake I did not have a concern there and did not have any trouble. Try flavored water. I use crystal light. Just do the best you can do and Good Luck! I hope I helped.
  14. Not that I know of. Would be nice if there was

  16. I was sleeved on 6/24. I doing fine with the liquids. The idea of pureed food makes me want to gag so my diet has been limited to, yogurt, mashed cauliflower, scrambled eggs and cottage cheese. Boring. I feel as if i have a bottomless pit. I never feel full and I do not get any signal. I limit myself only because I know I am supposed to. They say this will change once I get on solids. I still have a sharp pain on my left side whenever i bend over. I have not weighed myself this week but would not be surprised if i did not lose. At least i am down 26 pounds from my heaviest.. Great to have this forum!!
  17. I am almost3 weeks out. I swallow my pills the chewables were disgusting. I just make sure they are small so some I split in half.
  18. Looking for Treasure Coast VSG to share experiences with.
  19. I was off all diabetic meds a week before surgery due to liquid diet. After surgery they would check my sugar frequently and I was always had good numbers.
  20. I mean the small pieces that are in yogurt. Everything says yogurt is fine but not with fruit pieces.
  21. Does anyone know when we will be able to have yogurt with fruit pieces?
  22. Every Dr. It seems has their own opinion. My Dr. only wanted me to have the sleeve with my diabetes. She was totally against the RNY. All i can say is that my numbers have never been better and i am off insulin.
  23. I am a type ll diabetic and was taking two different types of insulin 4x a day. I have not had any insulin in 3 weeks. My sugars are about 98 during the day. They do go up at night between 130-145 but i was told that number will come down as i lose more weight. I had the sleeve on 6/24.
