  1. Last year I did pretty much all of my Christmas shopping online, the day after Thanksgiving. I did a lot of shopping on the Old Navy website and got some great deals. Well, I got my fill yesterday and I was missing 1cc of fluid. They are still not too worried about it yet. My fill nurse said that my increase in exercise could be a big reason I keep losing fluid. She said that exercising brings your body temperature up, resulting in some evaporation of fluid. Any of ya'll ever lost fluid as a result of exercising??? Anyway, I'm just glad to be feeling some restriction again. I'm slowly sipping my protein shake and I feel restriction....YAY!! I just want to FINALLY get to my sweet spot and stay there. I've had the band for 14 months and I've never had really good restriction that has lasted more than a couple of weeks.
  2. I went to the meeting. I really enjoyed it. The speaker was great. I hope they continue getting speakers like that. He talked about the emotional and mental side of our journey. I was very impressed. I got my much needed fill today! I'm soooo hoping this fill will last a while. I lost about 1cc of fluid since Sept 9th. They are still not too worried about it. Leslie said that my increase in exercise could be responsible for it, or at least some it. Exercising a lot makes your body temperature rise more, resulting in fluid evaporation. So, ya'll keep your fingers crossed that this one will last and I'll drop some weight. Have a great day Bandits!!
  3. Congrats on the new job Mamato!! That's awesome!! Glad your hubby is doing better too!! I have had a crazy busy weekend. We decided to try to get most of our Christmas shopping done over the weekend. We shopped till we dropped, lol. We still have to buy for our parents and our DS. We took care of all our neices, nephews, etc. We got a lot accomplished. I haven't ran since Monday. I will run tomorrow. I'm getting a fill, thank goodness. It's so overdue. I've gained so much weight....it's ridiculous!! I'm very anxious to see how much fluid I've lost this time. I'm pretty sure I have a slow leak and will eventually have to have surgery to fix it. Anyway, hopefully I'll be back at my ticker weight soon.
  4. LOL! You are too funny girl! Sorry you still aren't sleeping well. Maybe the benadryl will help. You've been such a good patient. Can't wait till you can start running again. Oh, I bought the nike+ system over the weekend. Now I just have to save up for the ipod nano, lol. I can't wait to start using it!!
  5. Renewed....congrats on the 15 minute mile!! That's great! You'll be running before you know it!!
  6. LOL....cool. It's been quite a while since I've been to Atlanta. I'm a good 4 hours away from there. I went Christmas shopping there about 5 years ago and haven't been there since. Atlanta is like the "New York" of Georgia, lol. It's a very big city compared to where I live. Hope you have a great time!
  7. Mia, you look wonderful!!! Keep up the wonderful work girl!
  8. HeHe. I was telling DH that I would love for them to be in the bottom next week. That would be sooooo funny. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Heba starting "singing a different tune". LOL about the challenge. I stood up and was cheering Stacey on, lol. You would have thought I was watching a football game, lol.
  9. My DVR must have cut off a little early, because I didn't see that! Wow, she is crazy! Her evil little smirks freak me out!! Satan's' minion perhaps....
  10. Sorry Whosya. We didn't mean to spoil it for you. Next time we will put a note not to read if you haven't seen it yet, okay. You still need to watch it though. It was hilarious!!
  11. Anyone watch tonight? I was soooo hoping that Stacey would have beaten Ed. But, I rejoiced when Brady was sent home. Funny how their little plan backfired. Oh, and Vicky is psycho
  12. Hey Renewed! Sorry you can't sleep....I know that has to be irritating. Maybe she can go ahead and take the staples out soon. You're doing great girl! And you look phemomenal!!!
  13. Sugarbean~ YAY!! Glad you enjoyed your run. Good for you on getting back to it. I was stoked that Brady was sent home! I think Amy C. made the right choice. It was sooooo funny how their little plan backfired. I think Vicky is a psycho anyway...Amy C better watch her back...
  14. WTG Whosya!!! Can't wait till I can say I ran 10 miles!! You rock!!
  15. Karey, you look great! Praying you heal quickly.
  16. WTG mominflorida!! Don't worry about your time or speed right now. You need to start out slow and work up later. Focus on getting your endurance up first. You're doing great!! Keep up the good work!!
  17. Hey buddies! I found it hard to get going today. I ended up running for 25 minutes, but it was hard today. Not sure why, but my right foot is bothering me a little today. Sugar~ I used to tell people that my stomach couldn't handle roller coasters because I knew I couldn't fit in them. I haven't tried the ride any since losing weight. I know I would probably fit, but there's a little voice in the back of my mind saying "you're still too big". What a great feeling that must have been for you!
  18. Hey girl! Yeah, I do Zumba on Tuesday and Friday mornings. I'm really loving it! It's a lot of fun! Today: Treadmill~ Ran for 25 minutes Srairmaster~ 10 minutes Strength training (arms and legs)~ 50 minutes I plan on doing some ab work later today too.
  19. Sorry you're having problems Shalee. Hope it clears up soon. Just keep resting and take it easy. Sending warm thoughts and prayers for you.
  20. Thanks Mia!! I would love for you to do it next year with us!! I am planning on going to the meeting. I thought I had a fill scheduled for Thursday, but I was wrong. It's the Thursday after the support meeting....UGH!! I am in desperate need of one. Although I am exercising like a crazy woman, I have gained 6 lbs! I can eat absolutely anything and A LOT of it, even lots of bread. I've been soooo hungry lately. I fear that I have lost more fluid:( I wish I could get an appointment Thursday so I wouldn't have to drive to Albany twice. I'm gonna call and see....worth a try I guess.
  21. I had a blast at the race! I had my best time yet....39:03!! My goal was to try my hardest to do it in under 40 minutes, so I was stoked!! I'm already planning my next one, lol. I took today off, but I will be running tomorrow. Thanks for the support ya'll!!
  22. Great NSV Sugarbean!! Whosya~ Good luck with the half marathon. When is it? Kathy~ Have a good work trip. Hope your band doesn't give you too much trouble.
  23. Leslie....no reason to be humiliated. Look at it this way....you ran further than any of the other 5K'ers. That's something to be proud of. If I had went an extra 2 miles, the ambulance would have had to zip me over to the hospital, lol. You did great!! My son is finally asleep, so I think I'm gonna take a nap. Talk to ya later.
  24. Mia, I'm proud of what you have accomplished and I know your mom is too! Congrats for celebrating. I'm sure it wasn't easy, but that's what your mom would want you to do. ((HUGS))
  25. LOL. I was hearing the rocky music as I was running up those massive hills. Well....they seemed massive to me anyway, lol. I had a blast!! I can see how this could get addictive. I ran all but about 1 minute of it. About 3/4 the way through, I walked for about a minute to catch my breath and then started it back up. I am on a total high right now. I already know of 2 more I want to run. I had my best time yet.....39:03. I get all emotional when I think about where I was a few months ago and where I am now. It's sooooo amazing to think about how far all of us have come. Leslie and I were talking about doing this one again next year and maybe even shoot for the 15K....who knows! Sorry, I don't have pictures to share. DH couldn't get off work to go with me. I should have snapped a few pics of me and Leslie after the race with my camera phone, but it totally left my mind, lol. Anyway, I'm pretty tired and hoping to take a nap when DS goes down after lunch. Thanks for all the encouragement ya'll. This is a fabulous support group and I'm thankful for all of you.
