Is it working for you
I never considered anything besides for gastric bypass. I am on day 13 and lost 18 pounds since the surgery, 36 lbs total.

Autism and sensory issues
That's how I am coping for now. I chew everything until it becomes puréed (not blending the cottage cheese, for example)

tuna omelette (puree) 16.5 grams of protein!
Yes, my tastes changed too. I use the foods to create new dishes, and they are such a blessing to me now. I am 13 days post op.

I used the chopper blade in the food processor. You can also use a blender. I cooked all my foods 6 weeks before my surgery and froze them in 2 oz condiment containers.

runners knee (maybe)
My knee dislocates when I do stairs. I can literally feel the bones grinding. My yoga instructor showed me how to pop it back in. Stand up against the wall, press your lower back into the wall as you gently slide down to a mock sitting position. Hold. It will look like you are sitting on a chair. The key is to keep pressing your lower back into the wall. After a few seconds, slide back up. Repeat if necessary.

Am I being too sensitive?
I think we all had at least one person who asked us that same question. I chose NOT to share with people, but I did share with several after the fact. Three made that comment. I must say, doing the first most important and totally selfish thing for myself ever, has empowered me to a point where I have such a tough skin now, nothing they say can make a dent. I fully embraced that I am tough as nails, stronger than those who chose to run for the hills. I've done it, and I'm proud of my tenacity. Words are for fraidycats. I hope you can find your inner strength soon.

I think I have bronchitis
Bronchitis feels like when you touch a burn, a deep pain when you cough. You feel it in the rounded 'cupped' bottom-most area of your lungs. You can feel the pain from the inside of your chest all the way to your back. I highly recommend you take a teaspoon every hour of liquid Pantothenic Acid (B6). It stops coughs and drainage instantly. I have been able to avoid serious infections with this very cheap and accessible Vitamin.

After reading complications people are going through years later with the SLEEVE... I'm too scared now to do it!
I am 13 days post RNY. No matter what happens to me, I am in heaven that I went through with this. The alternatives were more frightening.

Pain on left side, 13 days post-op
I wasn't left with an incision like that, but I'm on day 13 too. The only pain I still have is on my left side. I was so concerned that I kept calling the doctor's... and wondered if it could even be a new hernia. I was just told that left-side pain is normal for a long while. I don't know what to say other than to constantly clutch a large pillow to 'cushion the blow' of breathing, moving, coughing, sneezing, laughing... I still can't get in and out of bed without clutching a pillow.

tuna omelette (puree) 16.5 grams of protein!
I lost a total of 18 lbs pre-op, in a span of 6 weeks. After the first three weeks, the NUT asked me to increase my Protein and take it easy, because I had met my first half of the requirements.

tuna omelette (puree) 16.5 grams of protein!
The pickle juice will mask the flavor and add liquid for pureeing, while adding no calories. If you don't have any, use olive juice :-)

223, lol!
Just having fun post-op :-)

Awesome New High Protein Recipe~Phase 2!
I did @@magpie30 idea today. I picked up a cheesecake flavored pudding mix by Jello. Absolutely incredible way to pack a punch.

Cheesecake-y puree w/protein powder
You can add protein powder to this and some milk to help it absorb. You cannot taste the 'chalk' in the cheese.

guacamole on everything!
Just added some to my tuna to help it get down.... Sadly, my NUT says that avocado is one of those 'once a week foods'

Can I just make cream of potato soup?
I made mashed potato with broth and greek yogurt (for protein). Then, I pureed minced onions with the mashed potatoes and more broth, and it was yummy.

What to freeze in?
I froze in 2 oz condiment containers. They reheat in the microwave beautiful, but the lids curl up.

Does anyone have any suggestions for pureed food
I blended tuna with greek yogurt and pickle juice. It was awesome. Today I made an omelette with that tuna.

tuna omelette (puree) 16.5 grams of protein!
Before RNY, I prepared portions of tuna blended with pickle juice and greek yogurt. It totaled to 10g of protein per 2 oz portion. Today, I used one portion to make an 'omelette' by mixing it up in a pot with 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese and one ounce eggbeaters. The results: A yummy pureed meal with 16.5 grams of protein!

Year long stall
Why not opt for RNY once and for all?

I'm here! I made it!
Awesomeness! When you come to, start drinking broth rather than Water. There are 6grams of Protein in every cup of clear chicken broth. It promotes muscle repair and energy!

Cheesecake Cup, puree
Sorry, I just edited the original post to add protein powder. That was the whole point of this! :-)

Cheesecake Cup, puree
No, the link is to the Jello product. I used 2 cups of cottage cheese, and 4 tbs milk, and a cup of cool whip. Someone else posted a recipe like this here, and I was excited to try this flavor.
