    Carb-Eatin Sleevers

I am still amazed at how much everyone is loosing at just 2 months out? I thought I was doing something at 2 months out by loosing 25 lbs but I am 20 lbs behind everyone I read about, how did you loose 46 lbs in 2 months, you are doing great. I have only lost 44 lbs and I am at 4th month post op. I am starting to know I eat way to many carbs, I have been able to tolerate carbs since the first week after surgery. I ate 3 bites of toast. Maybe that is why I am not loosing. I have had an incredible craving since I had surgery for Crossiants...of course just a few bites but I can eat a whole one in a day as well. Yes I am a carbby but of course only 2-3 bites don't do rice or Pasta very well, but it's starting to feel okay. of course 3 bites and I'm full but I can feel and like the carbbys and I actually have been feeling better since I have eaten them. Please tell me and shed some light. You are doing great, what ever you are doing you are doing fantastic, keep up the good work, I am 20 lbs behind everyone I read about so I must be doing something wrong. I need help, Blessings, Calimexsleever

    Do you tolorate Subway?

Amazing....I can eat bread, toast, English muffins and scones, but only a few bites. I can eat subway, but the thought of the big bread makes me gag, the fullness we have is just overwhelming, and I don't want my stomach to hurt so I say the thinnest bread you can get, plus bread I think causes stalls, I have been eating lots of beads and my weight loss stalled until the other day when I at more veggies and kicked up my Proteins.....'
  6. Hello BP friends, I wanted to know if anyone has experienced the eaten to much syndrome. I learned early on with a bad experience about eating and drinking liquids at the same time. I was at a wedding several weeks post op and I was hungry and at quite a few hor dorvs and at dinner time at the reception, I threw up. Since that time I read we are not suppose to eat solids and drink at the same time, one or the other. Also I noticed when I am full or my sleeve is full which I can only ever eat half, half, half, if that of any plate, my nose starts to run like crazy. Anyone experienced that? My stomach starts to hurt, has anyone wisdom on this experience? There are amazing food that I can tolerate others I can not. Like I can tolerate bread, amazing, but not chicken or rice, or spaghetti which use to be my favorites, surprised, surprised, surprised? All The Best, Your Friendly Sleever

    Is Change Really Possible?

You are a great inspiration to me, look at you and how fabulous you look in 10 months. I am headed towards month 4, and can not wait for month 10 , 11 and 12 like you. What an amazing and fabulous amound of weight you have lost in just 10 months. How can I do this too. I weighed the same maybe a little more my highest was 286..pre surgery was 276 and now 246. How am I doing. I just started to feel good to walk, body ached for the past month, ankles, feet, legs, back, so I started going to a chiropractor. I feel so good now. Many say the body is adjusting to the weight shift. never again do I want this weight on me again. Tell me what I should be doing now headed into month 4. I try to avoid rice, breads, but occassionally or once a week have a little. I am really only able to eat red meat, fish, and super small bites of chicken, I almost hate chicken my first couple of months with it have been horrible. I am eating soft stir friend and steamed and boiled soft veggies. I do occassion Protein shakes, not enought though, I try, goats milk, almond milk, and I am trying to get my Water in. Any other tips, wisdom, suggestions.....and what work outs should I be doing, I still always dont feel the best...I'm tired a lot, have to have naps but it's slowly coming down. So tell me, what you did during the months of 4, 5, 6. All The Best, CaliMex Gal

Body Aches and pains before and after surgery

Thank you for your support. Yes, I go to a Chiropractor as well, I went today, but I think I am just lazy. I would love to loose 69 lbs or 89. I am 40 down, at 3 months and amazed, but I want the jiggile off now, I want those arms toned and the Michelle Obama arms. Tell me what you eat, and how long you have been at the "Grind"

    Is it too late ?

I pray you weigh your options for both the pros and the cons, but if you can based on happiness and experience that I have read and now 40 lbs down in 3 months, no hair loss, eat many not all but many of my favorite foods just a couple bites, but I can eat it, and I feel healthy and eat like a skinny girl. That excites me. Read the pros and cons from everyone, but the "Sleeve Is The Bomb" Baby. Much Love, I pray for your health and healing.
  11. Hello WLS Family, I wanted to know if anyone has experienced that pain of course of being overweight, like joint, and body pain, and then after surgery any type of join, hip, ankle, leg pain. I am starting to see skin start to flab and move, but my body most days ache. Especially if I try and work out. I am 3 months post op and usually don't feel like working out, I up and mobile a little more, much more energetic but not as much as I hear everyone else is? Am I missing something, should I get my blood levels checked to see if I am missing something like a Vitamin deficiency? What is your suggestion 3 months post op, 40 lbs off? Please advise and share your experiences...
  12. Thank you so much my friend for your encouragement and how I should be progressing. I have not had a real rewarding time exercising, everyone says my body is adjusting to loosing pounds so fast. I do thank God I am seeing 240 but I will be glad to see 160 -158 like you. Amazingly I can eat a lot of things especially very early on, but my favorite things I can not eat and actully gag at chicken, rice and pasta which were my favorites. Occassionally I have a sweet tooth but that's probably cause I been single way to long. Tell me what you do as a eating routine and work out routine and how you got all those pounds off. I need 90 more lbs off. What I love about the sleeve it is not impossible to think I lost 40 lbs in 3 months blows my mind. I still cant eat or drink at the same time, yesterday I had a steak taco, it was so good, I was craving the meat. Earlier I had tea so I think I was to full, but maybe you can give me some advice because definitely if I eat and drink I throw up. I can eat 2-3 bites of anything and I am full which I love eating like a skinny girl. So tell me your story and what to do..... Blessings,

    Need serious advice

Bishop, Most of all of this stuff will go away after you have surgery. Trust and believe God, talk with your doctor and your surgeon before having surgery, many of those aspirin you are not suppose to take. The headaches probably come from high blood pressure which will propabably go away when you start to loose weight. Just think in 3 months from July 25th you will feel like a Butterfly. You will have lost 40-50 lbs. and feel like flying. Get advice about taking any of those medications. The one thing I heard in a still small voice, you will get through this and the foods you thought you could not live without will still be there 2, 3, 4 weeks later, but your body might not even want then ever again. I never thought I would not want or like spaghetti again, or rice, or any type of chicken. I eat fish and red meat, and just about anything except I do not drink soda's anymore, I crave but don't eat it. Fill up on Water, unjury chicken broths, gaterade first two weeks and watch how you feel. Think of it as a 2 week fast after surgery, although the first week I ate scrambled eggs with lots of cheese. It was so good. OMG. depends on what your body can tolerate. I love food, but the sleeve will not allow you to do to much and remember do not eat and drink at the same time. Either drink and wait 30 minutes and then eat, All Th Best
