Luvin_Life125 got a reaction from Frustr8 in Smooth move tea help
I drink Smooth Move tea regularly because my sleeve, Iron, and daily narcotics do a FABULOUS job of stopping the works up effectively . I have never had a problem with it causing cramping or explosive issues. The tea is one of the more gentle methods I have found to help alleviate the Constipation. I hope your experience is not a bad one! Please keep us updated as to what your experience is.

Luvin_Life125 got a reaction from wanderlust17 in stomach polyps
Please don't worry! My EGD was on 8/13/14 and I also had no symptoms and didn't expect the EGD to be any more than another line on a checklist. They found an ulcer, gastritis and many, many polyps. I was undecided between RNY bypass or the gastric sleeve. My surgeon told me after the EGD RNY was no longer an option for me due to the polyps and I was going to have to have the sleeve done instead. He said the sleeve would actually resolve the polyp issue because it would remove all of them. I suggest double checking with your surgeons office just to make sure his medical opinion is the same. Good luck and let me know what happens. Hang in there and keep working your way through the pre-surgical process. You will be joining the Loser's Bench before you know it!

Luvin_Life125 got a reaction from rawksgirl in What are your favorite Quest Nutrition products?
chocolate chip cookie dough is my addiction! The taste and texture are really great and it feels like a naughty treat. I also enjoy the cinnamon roll flavor warmed up for a few seconds in the microwave.
Right now Groupon has a box of 12 Quest bars for $24.99 with free shipping. And if you shop through ebates you get 6% ($1.50) back per box. There is a limit of 5 boxes per customer.
The hardest thing with Quest Bars is limiting myself to just one a day.

calcium citrate is required by my bariatric program. I take the citracal petites I bought at Walmart. I have to take 2 tablets 3 times a day and have to be careful to space them out with my multi Vitamin twice a day too. I use an app called Rxmindme to make sure I space my supplements and regular meds out at the appropriate intervals and also so I don't forget to take anything. The app allows you to set reminders for many different things throughout the day. Since I have been using the app I have been so much better about getting all of my Vitamins and regular meds in every day and on time.
Another great tasting calcium citrate chewable is the Bariatric Advantage Calcium citrate chews. I have tried the lemon, raspberry, caramel, and chocolate flavors. The chocolate was the only flavor I didn't love. The lemon and raspberry reming me of extra chewy starburst. The caramel is a rich and creamy caramel flavor. You need to take 2 chews 3 times daily to meet the 1500 mg daily calcium goal. They are a treat to me and really help keep my cravings for chewy candy under control. I LOVE chewy candy and the Bariatric Advantage chews provided me "candy" 3 times a day!
Good luck finding a supplement that works for you and meets your needs.

Luvin_Life125 got a reaction from lucky1gg33 in Does running get easier!?
Lol I used to run 3-5 miles a day 6 or 7 years ago at 4:30 am outside every morning before work . I physically hate running! I hate feeling my body jiggling and hate that my boobs get in the way. However, I loved the mental aspect of running. It was my quiet and alone time where nobody needed anything from me and I could mentally shut down for a while. My body slimmed down rapidly once I was running regularly and didn't have quite as much jiggle after a while. I got injured and haven't run in years and I do truly miss it. It does grow on you after a while!
On another note- if you need a high compression sports bra try Enell brand. They are absolutely hideous and ugly, but your boobs Do Not move at ALL. I wear a g cup and had never found a sports bra that would keep them still. I used to wear multiple sports bras and then wrap an ace bandage around over the top just to keep them somewhat still. I just had to share that little piece of advise too.

Luvin_Life125 got a reaction from Seabreeze06 in PREOP SCAR TISSUE
Your surgeon should be used to it. I had 3 previous abdominal surgeries before my sleeve surgery. I warned my surgeon too and he kind of blew it off when I had my pre-op consult. However, my surgery was scheduled to be done in 90 minutes and ended up taking over 3.5 hours. My husband was really worried while he was waiting for me to get out even though I tried warning him before I went in. I got the last laugh when I woke up and found out how long I was really in surgery for. Lol, maybe they will start listening to their patients. The only effect my scar tissue had on my surgery was making it take longer. Please don't worry about more than you need to and it will all end up as it should be in the end. Good luck and we will make some room on the loser's bench for you.

Luvin_Life125 got a reaction from LisaS73 in Marijuana and Life after Bariatric Surgery
Very interesting topic! I have been fighting chronic pain for over 15 years and take a large amount of narcotics. I am very open to trying medicinal marijuana, but my state does not yet have the legislation in place for legal consumption. I am one of those people who won't even try marijuana if it isn't legal because somehow I would get caught or screw something up. I have researched the medical marijuana and I am hoping it will become a treatment option I can try. The narcotic medications I have used in the past and the ones I currently use have a wide array of side effects and have a sever negative impact on my quality of life and don't take the majority of my pain away.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences and opinions. I know it is a controversial subject, but to each his own. I love hearing everyone's experiences and perspectives.

Luv2plumb Holy WOW!! That is fantastic! You've done tremendous. Seems like you've kicked a$$ this far, I hope you make your goal that would be exciting. Thank you! But I am far from my goal. I started at 228lbs 4/22-DOS, I was in high 240's after pregnancy. I'm now at one month post op and stalled at 195. Surgeon would like to see me between 140-150. My personal goal is 125-135. I haven't been that little in all my adult life. Even if it's just to say I weighed that and gain a couple lbs. Hubby agrees no less than 140. But being 5'3 I wanna see how I look once I reach wherever I feel comfortable. Being Puerto Rican, a girl needs her curves
