  1. Hi all-- I'm new to this site. I have mostly been reading others' posts. Today I go for pre-admission testing appointments. If all goes well my surgery is scheduled for 10/22. I'm nervous and excited all at once. I've been feeling rather stressed these last few days about a number of things and I'm sure that isn't helping my mindset right now. I guess I just need some reassurance that I can get through this and I'm not alone on the journey. I'm wondering how my age (41) is going to have an impact on this. I've been overweight since I was about 10 years old. It has been a roller coaster and that's kind of how I feel emotionally right now.
  2. Hi--I'm from Michigan too. I am also pre-op. I was told about this site from another person who was familiar with the site. I too would like to hear from others.
