  1. I'm a super weird show size right now, I fit anywhere from a 10 (sneakers) to an 11W (all other shoes!), which makes it difficult to find new AND cute shoes. I'm definitely looking forward to the possibility of shrinking down to a normal size 10 shoe, the selection is definitely better. Guess someone else will get to take advantage of my barely worn but lovely shoes. I think as frugal as we are in other areas of our life we all deserve a splurge and why not on our feet?
  2. I researched to see if this has been asked at all recently I didn't find anything so...how has your show size changed since you've lost weight? Did anything stay the same, go down, or for example go from a size 10w to a regular 10? I have a couple pairs of drop dead gorgeous heels and I was wondering if they would still fit me after I've lost weight. Thanks for your input!
  3. Very cool idea!! Great pictures, congrats!
  4. Oh man, I LOVE spaghetti squash! I made actual spaghetti with it and it was more delicious than real spaghetti with noodles!!! I definitely want to experiment with squash more.
  5. I'm pre-op and for dinner last night I made BBQ chicken and roasted carrots and zucchinis for dinner, and here's where the accidental mushies came in...I overcooked the zucchini. (I ate all my veggies and only half my chicken) I cut and quartered 4 zucchini sprayed them with olive oil, sprinkled garlic salt and onion powder, cooked at 400 degrees for 30 minutes and out came the most delicious MUSHY zucchinis ever. Good news was that it made plenty for 2 with leftovers, so that's quite a few meals post op. So if anyone is looking for an awesome and easy mushy recipe, there you go. Any other great mushy or soft food recipes out there anyone want to share? I'm trying to make a mental cookbook for when my time comes! Hoping for next month!
  6. I'm HOPEFULLY about a month from surgery and I know that I have seen that same questions about a hundred times (I'm looking at you protein posts) since I joined this site in April and each time at least 1 or 2 vets will still step in and answer and that is greatly appreciated!! I like all the others that posted in here greatly appreciate the vets for sticking around and answering everyones repeated questions with patience and honesty. I like the no nonsense responses because we don't have time for babying, those days are over. Babying ourselves for years is how we got to this point! So again...THANK YOU!!
  7. Everyone does not get one. I had to get one and others have for different reasons, but they are definitely not required for all patients.
  8. Your husband does sound funny! That was pretty much the same procedure for me. My BP was up at first, I think I was more nervous than I expected to be, but a lot of the people who were near me were actually patients of my Surg as well so I had someone to talk to for a couple minutes after I woke up. That nap was great I wanted to take some home with me.
  9. Thanks!! I appreciate the clarification!
  10. I have heard so many different explanations such as the following: Losing 100 pounds. Being in the 100's. Hitting one year post op. Which of these is true?! What Is Onederland?! Whatever it is...I want to be there! What did it feel like getting to Onederland for you and how long did it take (if it isn't the 1 year post op thing)?
  11. I have a scope with a biopsy on Thursday (26th)! Man those are expensive!! How did yours go?
  12. I've actually seen some strange but interesting flavors at Ross of all places! Definitely check out your local Smart and Final.
  13. I haven't had my surgery yet, but my Surgeon does it all outpatient, unless there are complications. So I will be in and out in a few hours. I'm pretty sure the post op and discharge will take longer than the actual surgery.
  14. Weird cravings, that will be interesting. Maybe that means you're missing a specific Vitamin and that is your body trying to get it?
  15. That sounds weird! Have you tried Gas-x before bed? Or something to give it before it forms. I'm a big tummy sleeper so that would be lame.
  16. Hey more of a sex drive, nice perk! I hope that happens to me. My lack of interest is a part of what messed up my marriage. (Just separated from my wife of almost 6 years) Buttcheeks...lol I think to fully understand I just need to experience it. Congrats on your engagement!!!!
  17. I just read it! That sounds like a struggle. Hope you are intolerable to the bad stuff and love the good stuff!
  18. What is the strangest, weirdest, or most unexpected thing to happen to you after having the sleeve? I'm looking forward to reading about peoples experiences. No such thing as TMI here either!
  19. That sounds so yummy! I'll file that away for post op treats.
  20. Can you switch hospitals? or clinics?
  21. I bought a Kettlebell and gym shoes, I'm ready to tone up asap. Want to start sooner, but can't seem to find my motivation.
  22. I most look forward to shopping! I already love it, so being able to buy cutre clothes at a better price will be great! I'm worried for my poor girls too! I'm gonna have to get that plastics fund started ASAP!
  23. I look froward to small foods filling me up! It's probably good that your stomach no longer tolerates those things. I kind of hope the same thing happens to me so I can kick the habit.
  24. I'm totally going to miss full size meals! Just went out to dinner with a friend last night and stared at my plate and told myself that my days are numbered, lol.
  25. I feel like I am going to miss big tasty meals, lol. I hope I get use to it. I love that this is your positive and your negative!
