  1. And Here's an updated photo, This is from Sunday. I keep experimenting with my look. You can see that on my Instagram account big time.
  2. I just recently jumped on the brazilian band wagon, well kind of, I don't do bald, I hate the look, I leave a triangle and keep that trim. I love it! My waxer is amazing, being a plus size lady herself I instantly felt comfortable with her. She used the stripless wax, which was nice, and told me about a product you can buy on amazon that keeps you from getting ingrowns called PFB, it's a roll on thing and can be used anywhere. So far so good. I also get super red with face waxing, but not so with leg or brazilian.
  3. I have an entirely new wardrobe, just over 4 months out, and I have about a third of my closet with clothes that still have the tags on them. I no longer hesitate to buy something cute if I like it, especially if it is on sale! I don't need new clothes, I have enough that I could go two to three weeks and not repeat an outfit. *went overboard for sure* One thing I do wear that I never would have before is skirts with leggings and boots. I look brilliant and I get complimented every time!
  4. I prefer it trimmed on top and waxed along the bikini line and then brazilian style everywhere else. I don't like the bald look, so I actually have a decent nicely shaped triangle down there, rather than the landing strip.
  5. @@emsgirl114, That is quite a journey, very exhausting and painful!! I'm so glad to hear that you have a surgeon who was willing to put in some leg work and get you approved! I love my sleeve and wish I had done this a lot sooner! Congrats on joining team Sleeve!! I love hearing when things go well with my VSG Peeps.
  6. Down to 209 today. It feels like my weight loss has picked up a bit in the last month. No complaints here. I wear the HS jeans and they are a bit big in the legs but they look great on me. I have a fantastic wardrobe of clothes that all look amazing on me, some that I plan to shrink into over the next few months. I'm so close to onderland, and I don't know what to do with myself. I haven't been under 200 since probably junior high. So very excited. One major compliment that I got today was my old supervisor said that she went to a seminar at my Surg's office and that I inspired her. I was so beside myself, that was the sweetest thing I could have heard. I told her i'd be there for her if she has any questions, and she said that she planned to talk to me about it more along the way. I've never been told something like that. It was really nice to hear. NSV FTW!
  7. I feel you, my bum was one of my favorite things about myself, even when I was at my heaviest, and now...booo. Gonna have to concentrate on those squats and lunges.
  8. Another 10 days later, this is my 4 month surgiversary, and I am down to 214.6 which is about the weight I weighed in HS. I just got back from a week in TX visiting my sister and I lost 3.4 lbs while I was there. She gave me a bunch of clothes that she shrunk out of. My sister has always been the small one, so the fact that i'm wearing clothes that she wore is amazing to me. I'm in a 12/13, I can shop in the juniors section at Ross/Target/WM/everywhere and I haven't ever in my life done that. I can eat more now than I could a month ago, but not by a lot, and I continue to make the smarter food choice rather than the easy food choice. I'll upload a picture later to show my 3 month change. I pretty much am happy to be alive in a way that I don't remember ever being before. I can run for a short distance without feeling winded, I can carry myself and a suitcase upstairs without dying, in fact when we got to the airport, my sister was hauling my moms suitcase, which weighed 48 lbs and it hit me, while watching her lug that thing up 2 sets of stairs that I was carrying more than that on my body on a daily basis. I've never been so happy with me in my life. This was the best decision i've ever made.
  9. Happy Friday, friends!!! This week has been a really good week for compliments for me. I think everyday someone different commented on how good I look, and this is from people I never really talk to. I'm down to 218 from 275, and seriously, I haven't been this small since Junior year of HS, 11 years ago. I have a bigger belly than I did then, but I am still in much smaller sizes than I have been in a long time. The guy I'm seeing actually went to HS with me and he was there when I was going through a box of old clothes that I pulled out of storage to donate the other night and I pulled out a pair of jeans that I LOVED and thought I had gotten rid of, and he said he remembers me in those pants (cuz I looked amazing!) and they almost fit me. If they weren't a velcro close I'm sure they would have actually fit me. I was so ecstatic. I'm NSVing all over the place and I love it. One side effect of the surgery is that your body is breaking down the fat which stores hormones and the other day I was in a dark mood for no reason. Nothing happened in my personal life or work life to cause me to be like that. I was just moody. I think it was a combination of the weight loss, my new birth control, and I was supposed to start my period around that time, but Mirena (my IUD) said no, but my guy came over and spent time with me, and perked me up. It was amazing. So just a warning, you will get moody with no apparent cause, I was warned about this before and I didn't believe it, now I know better, lol.
  10. Found my favorite pair of sexy, tight, big flare jeans that I loved in high school, in my storage unit and they almost fit!! Found a bunch of other clothes from when I was thinner and they fit very nicely. I love new old clothes!
  11. Today I weighed in at 221.2, I about fell off the scale. I'm so happy with my weight loss progress. It has been consistent, I am making good food choices, I've trained all my loved ones to how I eat, and I live to shop. I have gone shopping everyday since Sunday. I went to Goodwill last night for some jeans and I got 5 pairs of cute jeans in various sizes for less than $20. I love a good deal. So get this, the jean industry is evil. I got a pair of jeans in a 12, fit snug, have another pair of jeans in a 15/16 and can barely get them up my hips...Can we please get some consistancy?! Geeeeeeeeeeez. So I have come down from a snug 18 to a 14 (on average) and I am loving it. From a 3x/2x to a L/XL depending on the brand. I have started wearing skirts with leggings and boots, which is a look I always wanted to achieve and never could. I love the place I am in my life right now, and other people can really see how much more confident and happy I am. Here's a picture of one of my new favorite outfits, and a dress I got and will wear in about 10 lbs down.
  12. You update your weight under my surgery.
  13. I'm on FB, but I don't update anything about my surgery on there. I post more on my Instagram as far as pictures of my food, and what I look like, etc.
  14. I didn't make my goal of 220, however I did make my initial goal, so there's something positive! I finish at 226.4. Thanks for doing this!
  15. I find that for me, I don't count carbs. I track my eating on MyFitnessPal and monitor my protein and keep my cals under 1000 (not hard to do TBH). I actually don't eat carbs, pretty much ever really. It is very rare that I eat anything made from a grain of any kind. I also find that I don't crave carbs anymore since I stopped eating them.
  16. Thanks ladies!! Please feel free to share your pics on here! It really motivates me to see others succeeding as well.
  17. It has been...14 days since my last update. My 3 month surgiversary was on the 24th and I hit 50 lbs down!!! What a difference my entire life is from 3 months ago to today. I'm adding an updated photo for comparison. I'm still sometimes making some eating mistakes, for example eating too fast, But it is very few and far between. I pretty much eat whatever I want, but I concentrate on protein. The guy I'm dating really takes my eating habits into consideration when choosing restaurants and activities and so do all of my friends/family. Went to a party this past Friday and I did drink. I'm not a big drinker to begin with but I had this surgery to live a fuller life and sometimes that includes alcohol, I got pretty drunk, and it didn't take as much as it normally would but it still took a decent amount. I have found that I get a buzz fairly easily, but it is very short term. Just had a big NSV for me, I just spent the last hour going through my closet to pick out a cute skirt/legging/boot outfit and I actually had fun. I normally would try on outfits and feel completely annoyed, but now I feel optimistic and guess what?! I don't hate my knees anymore!! I was trying the skirt on the shorter side and I loved how it looked. I'm starting to get some really nice legs, collar bones, and shoulder blades. I have leaner ankles/feet/wrists and I'm happy with my progress. 50 lbs in 3 months and you can really see it. I am happy everyday that I chose this.
  18. I am at 226.8, with my Halloween goal being 220. I've got a drop coming the next couple days, I can feel it!
  19. I am 229 even today. Happy Friday!!
  20. I keep missing the Friday weigh in, but I just reached my halloween goal of 229, so I am readjusting it to 220. CW: 229.4 Halloween GW: 220
  21. Ren Faire was amazing this last weekend! I looked and felt wonderful. I have this new found confidence, and I got some really positive feedback on my outfit and my hair and my looks in general. Here's a couple pictures of me from the Faire. Also I dropped down to 230.8!! I am so close to the 220's and I haven't seen them since my teens, so about a decade.
  22. Oh man, Ann, you said it!! Other than the learning curve and the first couple weeks, this has been a cakewalk. I'm glad we did it!
  23. I have no issues consuming anything of any temperature. I have no adverse reactions to literally anything at all that I have tried. Double edged sword, that is, lol.
