  1. Great job, you look amazing!
  2. Oh man, this is the post that never ends!! I thought I wasn't going to find anything from this year. Hello! My name is Misty, I'm 27. I'm waiting very (IM)patiently for my first consult appt on June 12, and lurking throughout the forums. I fall under the category of B in LGBT, but have been exclusively in (2 seperate) long term relationships with women. I married my last gf in 2009 (kind of seperated now, boo) and have sort of fallen out of the community. I look forward to getting to know my family here on BP.
  3. Holy...You look AMAZING!!!! I'm a little in love, I can't even lie. Nice job!! I think this will be my gift to myself when I hit 100 down too! (still pre-op, sad day) This was a great idea, it will be super good motivation to keep it off. Well done, super model.
  4. I come from a fat family, on my moms side, and my dads side was always slimmer including my younger sisters, so when we would go to things with my dads family I always felt awkward and ugly even though I am beautiful (in the face, lol). I've always been bigger and I finally hit 300 and I looked terrible. I managed to lose 30 lbs and then gained back 10 and I hate the way I look. I watched my mom lose almost 100 lbs the natural way and she looks amazing! I have been looking at this surgery for years and finally decided that since 2014 has been such a tough year for me in my marriage that I was going to do something completely for me to feel better about my life and my health. I'm tired of being the fat daughter, and the fat sister and I have such a bad history of health in my family, I want to live for a really long time and live well.
  5. I wanted to say that I am stalkerishly following this board. I plan to do the same type of thing when I get my surgery date, so I wanted to thank you for doing it too! It is super helpful to see what it's like for other people in almost realtime! Don't stop now!! You're doing amazing!
  6. Body Dysmorphic Disorder. An individual with BDD has perpetual negative thoughts about their appearance; in the majority of cases, an individual suffering from BDD is obsessed with a minor or imagined flaw. Afflicted individuals think they have a defect in either one or several features of their body, which causes psychological and clinically significant distress or impairs occupational or social functioning. BDD often co-occurs with depression, anxiety, social withdrawal, and social isolation. Per Wikipedia, lol. I think we all have this to a certain extent.
  7. I can live with that as well! Just don't want some droopy A's!
  8. So I've read on how to manage the skin issue, I'm only 26 almost 27 so my skin should have some good elasticity and snap back with a strict regime of toning starting as soon as possible with heavy lotion, and wraps, and hydration etc...but personal question...How did everyone's breasts do after this? I've always had large boobs even when I was "slimmer" (read 215 lbs) so I'm a little worried tha they will completely disappear. Is anyone willing to share their stories of their post op bodies? I'm just looking forward to being super healthy and able to run and play with my nephews and my future kids one day without being exhausted after 5 minutes, but I need to know if I should start saving now, lol.
  9. Hello! I'm new to this, I have my consult on June 12, already harassing them for something earlier, lol, but there is nothing. I live off Rainbow and 95 and work off of Sunset and LVB! It's nice to see so many people in so many different stages in my city!!
