And So Our Journey Begins...
Today will be my second to last post, I will post one more time after my birthday so everyone can see if I achieved my goal of being 25 lbs down by my birthday. I'm really close so here's hoping. The scale did jump up this morning to 253.2, Probably just water weight from this weekend. I had a blast yesterday, Mt. Charleston was gorgeous and the weather was perfect. At one point I just sat on a log and looked out over the trees and it was really peaceful. We didn't hike, we walked this little trail that was paved, we went off sidewalk for a bit to get to that log and then climbed back up, so otherwise it was just really relaxing, though the walk back to the car was exhausting, lol it was all uphill. But I did really well. We ate while up there, my first meal in a restaurant and I got a bowl of no bean chili ate about 4 spoonfuls and it was nice. My bill with tip was $10. I can already see that I will be saving so much money. Overall it was a beautiful day and just what I needed. I'll see you all this weekend (birthday is Friday so I will probably post on Sunday! EDIT: I keep forgetting to mention. I do have difficulty with drinking protein shakes if I add greek yogurt. It becomes too thick and then I have this uncomfortable heaviness in my tummy for up to 45 minutes. And if I'm hungry my body feels weird, until the actual hunger feelings show up. Those have been my only difficulties since surgery.

Thank you for all the compliments! I'm already feeling more confident in my body, which is a nice change. @ VSGAnn2014, you should do your hair any color you want! Just remember no matter what you do it is easily changed back. My hair is definitely my pride and joy.

And So Our Journey Begins...
Hello kiddos!! I weighed in yesterday afternoon and it was 251.6 and I didn't believe it. I was pretty sore for the day. I weighed in this morning because I didn't believe the weight from yesterday and I really am down to 251.6 holy cow!! Such a difference a day makes. I think I was tricked into hiking today so I'm having my protein early so I don't kill myself up on Mt. Charleston. As promised here is my 1 month change picture! I do see a difference!

And So Our Journey Begins...
Still 254 this morning. I had softball this morning, and I actually had to run around and hit and well I didn't have breakfast at all, not even protein. Just my gummy vitamins and water. So unsurprisingly I got all shaky in my hands and legs, but I powered through and I feel pretty okay. I still haven't done my protein but I will after this. I feel worked out that is for sure, and I can definitely tell that I have lost my strength. I use to be very strong, but this weight loss has eaten up my muscles. Sad day. I count that as temporary though. I will get them back. On a fun note. I bought my first smaller item of clothing for when I fit in a large and it is a gray pin striped halter vest that ties in the back. I greatly look forward to wearing that in a few months!! $6 on ebay! It came in the mail today. I love ebay.

And So Our Journey Begins...
I had a very unexpected surprise this morning. I weighed myself after my shower and I lost 1.2 lbs since yesterday?! That was definitely not what I thought I was going to see when I stepped on the scale. I am now a cool 254. My pants are starting to slip down, pants that once looked like they were painted on, since that was the style I liked. I have a great ass and I loved showing it off. I hope I get to keep it! Squats here I come! I went to my ex-in-laws last night to help my old SIL with her hair and to see my nephews and I ended being there for a long time. Once we finished her hair I had a protein bar for dinner and we took a walk around her neighborhood which is almost 2 miles, at a fairly brisk pace and my poor thighs are killing me right now. I haven't been concentrating on the exercise aspect as I have just mostly been getting use to the food difference. Now that the weather is nice I think I will head over there a couple times a week to walk with her until I'm ready to drag myself to the gym. Or as I get smaller I'll take a lap with my softball players, I coach softball with my ex-wife and her Aunt/Uncle/Sister/BIL every fall and spring. Now I will be a lot more active and I really look forward to that. I don't think I ever mentioned but...I HATE exercise. That will be the real test of mind over matter.

And So Our Journey Begins...
Yay the scale went down, and so has my belly! I weighed in today at 255.2 lbs this morning. Woohoo. I ate In-n-Out for dinner last night. I did the whole single patty Protein style and ended up ditching 98% of the lettuce and 60% of the tomato and ended up with a patty, cheese, and thousand island. It was good though. It hit that spot thankfully and it was less than $2.50!! I'm saving money! I've noticed that I hardly spend any money lately and I think that falls on the shoulders of my recent divorce (since I don't go out much anymore) and this surgery (since I don't eat fast food or go out to meals anymore). Which is really nice!! 3 more days until my one month and I am officially 20 lbs down. I'm very pleased.

@@hhp29 I am so excited for you!! You will definitely wonder if you made a bad choice, but rest assured that time will cure you of that. I feel, for the most part, like a normal person. I just eat significantly less, and it doesn't bother me at all. Good luck! If you ever have questions I'm here!!

@Dragonfly1111 Thank you! It's smarter for my health to take everything in stride rather than be a debbie downer.

No loss today, not sweating it. I'll probably drop a lb by the end of this week. I'm dying for an In-n-Out cheeseburger, no onions, Protein style. One of these days i'm goind to do it! I put on a favorite outfit of my mine today and I look cute. What a difference almost 20 lbs makes!

Halloween challenge
Ok, never done this before. I am in.

And So Our Journey Begins...
No weight loss or gain since yesterday. Let's see if there is a pattern that I drop every other day. It all depends on tomorrow. Since my birthday is this month I got a free medium beverage from DD, my absolute favorite coffee place and since I have temporarily given up coffee, I got a drink and gave it up to a friend at work. It was the French vanilla Swirl Latte. I had been dying to try it, and I took a sip and got smacked in the face with the sweetness, I stirred it up and took another sip, just as sweet and it wasn't good! This surgery took my sugar taste buds away!!! Sweets are no longer my friend. Normally that drink would have been perfect, but today I totally didn't like it. That's an unexpected perk, since I was pretty addicted to sweets. Last night for dinner I borderline over ate. I had a small plate of food. Ate all the chicken and most of the edamame and when I got up to clean up the mess I could feel my tummy getting a bit irritated. It was maybe 2 bites too many, and it wasn't super painful, just a bit uncomfortable. I was fine in about 30 minutes, but it was a nice surprise.

And So Our Journey Begins...
So here I am 25 days out and the scale moved down again! I am at 256.8. It is very exciting to see it go. I haven't weighed that in at least 5 years. I can see a difference in the clothes that I wear and at 1 month out which is Sunday I will post a side by side and you can all judge for yourselves. 18 lbs down is a pretty decent accomplishment. I'm hoping to be 25 lbs down by my birthday, which is the 29th.

@@allesun Don't sweat the stall, in time it will pass and then you will have a steady drop until the next stall! Trust me my stall lasted almost 2 full weeks and now I am in the 250's, I haven't been there in 5 years!

And So Our Journey Begins...
No move on the scale today. I hit it out of the ballpark on protein yesterday!! I went to a bbq at a friends house last night. It was super noticeable that I only took a tiny amount of food, so I came clean to the hostesses about my surgery (which didn't matter to me that they knew, I just hadn't told them yet). It was super fun getting out of the house. I didn't even eat a QUARTER of what I normally would have eaten. There was Kalua pig (huge favorite of mine) and Portuguese sausage, another that I like, and hot dogs. It was an incredibly fun night and I'm happy I went, and lil sleevie did her job perfectly.

And So Our Journey Begins...
So yes, my stall is in fact actually over. I went down to 257.6!! Took my measurements and they really didn't change at all. But I do look a little smaller. I'm happy.

And So Our Journey Begins...
Good news, my stall finally broke. I am now 259. Amen, hallelujah, I can see the light, lol. It was a shock. I only stepped on the scale today out of habit rather than making it a priority. So I lost 1.5 lbs overnight. I'm so pleased. Nothing else to report really. I tried carne asada last night, with some cheese, avocado, and sour cream. It was delicious and my tummy handled it fine as usual. It still took about an hour to eat. I also put two of my greek yogurts in the freezer so I will have some froyo for dessert tonight.

And So Our Journey Begins...
Same weight today, peeps. Hopefully this is the longest stall that I have. I guess since everything else about my surgery has been picture perfect that I needed to have something to make it not 100% awesome. Tried the Dannon Light/Fit Greek yogurt, in Orange Cream and it was pretty decent. All my past experiences with greek yogurt had been terrible so that was a relief. Took me an hour just to eat 1. Then about an hour later I had some tuna so that I could up my Protein intake with out drinking a shake. I need to increase my protein, I think I will be going back to 2 shakes a day and a meal somewhere in there.

And So Our Journey Begins...
@@Dragonfly1111, Thank you for telling me that! I was beginning to feel like the odd man out!! I actually woke up and expected the same weight so it wasn't a shock to see it.

And So Our Journey Begins...
It is possible. It seems to be the 3 weeks stall, it just hit me a little earlier than others. I get under 500 calories on average every day. But I don't have the room in my tummy to eat more! There's no way it could last forever though. Eventually it will have to break. Then it will be like a slide for awhile until the next stall, which if I have been paying attention correctly should be around 3 months.

And So Our Journey Begins...
Nothing new to post today. Stall day #8. I ate ground beef for the first time last night, it was fine, no weird side effects or anything. Really enjoying my strawberry shake vs the chocolate PB! In a few months I look forward to adding fruit to them as well.

And So Our Journey Begins...
Another stall day, but it's okay, I'm finally feeling the change in my clothes. My pants are a smidge looser in the waist and a noticeable amount looser in the legs and some of my tops fit just a bit better. So woohoo a baby sized NSV. Onto food. I tried something new for dinner last night, took me an hour to eat, but it was a Guy Fieri Nacho flavored Chicken sausage, it was kind of high in sodium but everything else was good (decent source of protein), and it tasted great. I only ate one (about 3 oz), when before I would have eaten 2 and on a bread of some kind with ketchup most likely and I was really satisfied for hours. I had to force myself to drink a half size protein shake before bed just to make sure I got at least 60g of protein in. Oh I got a new shake flavor!! Body Fortress Strawberry (really like this brand so far, you can find it at Walmart). I had been drinking mostly the chocolate peanut butter and I was so tired of it. But the strawberry was a nice change. And seriously to those that are reading this non-stop, it really means a lot to me and helps me stay motivated during this stall to know that you guys are all out there rooting for me!! I'll be posting pics when I have a more noticable physical change. If you want to see what I do post online I am on Instagram: MistyAnnMoon829 and my daily diet on MFP: MistyAnnMoon829 (Don't you love how original I am with my UN's? )

Ann, My protein right now is about 60g per day. I just started journaling in MyFitnessPal yesterday. I was giving myself a break to get use to it all. I walk, but I don't track it. I don't track my water either. I just know I have two 32 oz containers and I need to drink them everyday. I feel way better about water now than I did a week ago, that is for sure! Thanks for reading loyally!
