And So Our Journey Begins...
Thanks for the positive thoughts! @@India Mark Today is my first time getting any Protein at all because my stomach did not even like Water, today is the first day I actually feel 90% normal. I have been definitely not getting enough water, but I did better yesterday than the day before and I will do even better today. I have a Premier Protein and it tastes pretty ok. Still no weigh-in today, tomorrow I will do my first one. The glue is starting to fall off on its own, I will be taking my first shower today and my mom, my best friend, and I will be going to the mall and to my favorite store: Charming Charlies to buy myself a post-op present. Let's see just how exhausted that I will be after a couple hours of retail therapy. I may just go into Torrid and buy the smallest size dress they have and hold it while I shrink down. This is exciting stuff. How's everyone else doing it?

Misty, do you know what that person's name / handle here was? I'd love to read theirs, too. Oh wow it was so long ago, her handle was Janelle I think. I found it: http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/303887-because-im-happy-clap-along-if-you-feel-like-a-room-wo-a-roof/?view=findpost&p=3505682&hl=%2Broom+%2Bwithout+%2Broof

I saw someone else do this and I found it to be super informative. I'll start updating my weight in the next couple days too once the swelling goes down.

And So Our Journey Begins...
To answer everyones burning question, yes this was an outpatient procedure, which I didn't mind since as soon as I could walk I wanted to go home anyway. My surg will keep us overnight if he feels there is any need, and the way I was feeling staying at the hospital would have been no help either. A lot of surgeons do this outpatient. I tried Jello yesterday and ate the entire day about 1 tbs of jello total, since my tummy said "oh hell no". I was pretty miserable yesterday but I woke up this morning and I feel 10X better. Drinking Water was terrible, now it is bearable. I know for a fact that I am not drinking enough. So that is my goal for the day, drink more water! I am nervous to try Protein drinks, I may wait another day and do it tomorrow since I only like cold protein and I don't think my tummy would appreciate it.

And So Our Journey Begins...
I showed up to my appt at 12:30p and my appt was at 1p. I didn't get cut up until about 5p and I was home by 8:30p with some seriously intense gas pain in my chest. It was one of the worst night sleeps I have ever gotten. Took a gas pill not sure if it worked or if time helped. I dry heaved about 6 to 8 times last night and at the hospital which I was thankful for as it helped with the pain a bit. Woke up every hour to pee, it was exhausting. I know this surgery was the right choice but I feel like this was a bad idea. I know in a few days I will be fine and the pain forgotten. Going to try Jello in a bit because as much as I love Water it is a pain to drink.

Online dating
You should see if the owners of Bariatric Pal would promote you. I'm sure there are plenty of singles lurking on this site that are also looking for love in their personal lives. Edit: just saw your post about the dating, too bad it can't be posted multiple times, like in the mens area for example.

July 24th Sleevers!
Hey fellow Sleevers!! I just got my date...Drum roll please...July 24th!!! This was so unexpected when I went in for my post endoscopy today. I was expecting a phone call in a week or so, to go there and get the approval immediately was such a shock. I was so thrilled, I didn't know how to respond for a minute. I have a little bounce in my step now and I am so happy!!!!!! Anyone else out there getting their sleeve on July 24th?

How do i get my profile to show more on my posts?
Look under settings and then Surgery information. Fill that in, and I think that does it.

How is our App treating you ?
I tried it out again today and I must say it's not loving me. I tried to read a response someone made on their status feed and it was not even en option. In the notification screen it does not take you to the post that you are being notified about, and when I went to the general forum to see what's new this happened: picture attached. I was scrolling down to read the other titles.

Mirrors and pictures
I get hiding from the camera, but I'm part of the generation that LOVEs having my picture taken. I may not be a fan of the photo but I like it anyway. I've read that before pictures are really important so that you can look back later and see where you've come from. Definitely stop hiding and embrace it! Once you've lost all the weight you'll regret not having those pictures to compare.

My Endoscopy Day x....x
My endoscopy was uneventful (June 26th). I had to pee in a cup which I was not prepared for, and I had just gone to the bathroom. I got gowned and put in a bed, IV'd with just saline and I was chilling for about 45 minutes to an hour before I got taken back and I was in the scope room for about 5 minutes while they put the teeth guard un my mouth and adjusted me to lay against a lift, the anesthisiologist came in and next thing I know the room was fuzzy and then I was out. I woke up about 30 minutes later in post op, and started asking my nurse a bunch of random weird questions about where she is from (S. Africa btw) and I regained full consciousness and full use of my apendages within minutes. I was able to walk to the restroom and use the toilet and then I changed back into my old clothes and was ready to go even though I had to sit around and wait for another 20 minutes before they would let me go. I felt weird in my stomach area for about 4 days afterwards and my hunger pains had changed, but now I am full recovered and it was a very boring 4 hours of my morning.

How is our App treating you ?
On the new app I attempted to update my status a couple days ago and it would not let me. I do more frequently use the website on computer as I find it easier. The new app does look very nice though, I'm all about being an early adopter. My phone is the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
