Excited and nervous all at the same time. I am obessing about this procedure. Should I tell my friends? Should I tell my job? Should I tell my family? So far only my mother and fiance knows. How much weight will I lose? Will my recovery be easy or will there be complications? ( I cannot afford any complications - I am self pay) Is it selfish of me the pay all this money for the procedure. Should I have gone to Mexico to save some $$$ (So happy I got that off my chest. Thanks for reading)

day 3 post op, still very tender in my belly but doing pretty well with my water and sipping on my protein, even at 1/2 cottage cheese this morning, took me 45 minutes to eat it, but hey it stayed down.

Maggie, every doctor/office does different things. I had a one day stay in the hospital and the day after my surgery they had me sipping soup and taking very small amounts of soup to see that I could hold it down before they released me. In my Bari packet with instructions, it say all liquid in hospital and the stage II begins for me at home which is mushies and Puree's. I purchased a ninja so I am pulverizing everything on I decide to try on the list. Cottage cheese was the first food item listed so I ninjaed it and ate 1 small spoon every 6 minutes until finished. That was my breakfast. Check with your bari office

Nothing like hearing the pride in my daughter's voice as she introduced me to her teammates. "Well, THIS is my Mom!"
