What's in your music play list?
Ok, I love my you tube play lists. Anyone have any music that inspires you? motivates you for exercise? calms you after surgery? I'm open to all types of music. I will have my cell phone with me after surgery. I figure It might help to cover the noises of the hospital to just have my head phones on at night. I use you tube. so please feel free to post a link so I can hear what others are listening to.

PSYCH CONCERNED ABOUT MEDS
hjohnson, I'm had the same situation. I'm off 4 medications. and the difference in me is amazing. I'm a bit too happy. Sometimes I even have to tell myself to stop talking. I just am so glad to feel things and colors are brighter. I see a future for me. I'm just not the person that I was and I'm thankful. Wow who knew I would be here. I never thought any of it was possible. Celebrating my journey, Jenn

Took the decision
Aygad, I have struggled with depression. My Dr. had me do a mental health evaluation before surgery. Best thing ever. I'm off a lot of medication and could not be happier. I've been drugged up for years. Now colors are brighter, I'm actually happy. You never know where this Journey will take you. I'm looking forward to the future now. Can't believe this is me. I'm so thankful. Jenn

Research get's addicting pre op, I went to my pre op class and a lot of the other sleever's were so young. Go them! Obesity is a disease. It dose progress. You might not have health issues now. But what about in the long term? Yes, its a serious choice. I would not tell anyone what they should or should not do. Dig in and enjoy your research! wishing you the best! Jenn

Protein
You probably already know your body needs protein to build muscle. When you don't get enough protein, your body will start breaking down muscle to get what it needs. Your organs and bones are also at risk. You may also suffer from compromised immune function if you don't get enough protein, and you may feel easily fatigued without the energy to carry out your daily activities and exercise. Greater risk of exercise-related injury is also associated with protein deficiency, as is slow wound healing. If your goal is weight loss, don't skimp on protein; compared to fat and carbohydrate, protein is the most satiating of the macronutrients, meaning it will help fill you up and keep you feeling full so you avoid overeating and food cravings.

Question for type one diabetic sleeve. How did you do on the pre op diet? I'm having lows even now before I get to the liquid diet. trying to control it with sf apple sauce and healthier choices other than real sugar. ( I don't want dumping syndrome) Am I over thinking all this out of nerves? thanks again,Jenn1- Type 1 Diabetes
