  1. Hi LadyC, We have the same surgery date. I'm sorry your feeling down. I was too earlier..when I stood on my home scale and it was not moving. I went to a Dr.s Appointment I stood on their scale and I'm down 10 pounds (my home scale is a lair!) From that I have learned to stay away from the scale... You have not gained. Way to go! Jenn
  2. Whew.. good to hear it's the surgery. Just noticed it while working out. Truly weird
  3. Ok, Post op and my breasts are sensitive. Anyone have this?
  4. Mrs. King, awe thanks. Wising you the best! You will be waking up in the recovery room soon Jenn
  5. What's new Idaho? Dr. Oakley did my surgery on June 2nd. He is retiring. So I'm going to see a PA. I stayed at the St Luke's in Boise. They were so great. Keep posting would love to hear how things are going, Jenn
  6. Sound's like your doing well! I was sent home with pain medication one every 4 hours. My Dr. has me on Protein shakes and liquids. I'm getting them in. This was not as bad as I made it out to be in my head. I think that has helped.lol Jenn
  7. Hey all, Surgery went well. Pain was tolerable and managed. I walked every hour 3 laps of the hospital. The staff were really positive. My Dr. released me yesterday. He said all you have to worry about the next 2 weeks is walk. ,get my Protein in , Hydrate and he even told me to add a little cottage cheese into my diet. No problems getting my fluids and protein down. The sleeve lets me know when I'm getting full and I set things down until I can sip again. I'm off my cholesterol medication I'm taking so much less of my insulin Glad to be back home! Jenn
  8. My cell phone died. ..a d is a drain

  11. As a newbie myself have I made post that I regret? I'd have to say yes! I'm a bit over exited about all of this. It's still so fresh and new. I took a snap from a senior member I just took it as a teachable moment. am I perfect? Is anyone on here perfect? I just don't take a negative post to heart. Reality for me?..... This is just another forum. you take the good with the bad. Choose the post that help you the most. I surround myself with the positive and let the negative go. Have you ever been to a forum that was drama free? I'm finding there are a few that have forgotten what its like to be a newbie and that's ok. There are people that are supportive as well. So with that off my chest, I'm off tomorrow for surgery, everyday is a clean slate. moving on, Jenn

  14. Pre op and what a change.....Who knew? I step on the scale and it keeps moving down! I'm no longer Morbidly Obese...I'm now just Obese. My a1c is 6.7 I've adjusted my Insulin to once a day....... from 5 times a day. The insulin adjustment has helped so much. I don't get panicked when my blood sugar drops. I feel less hunger pangs. Just feeling so thankful! Jenn
