1 Day Post-Op

Hey everyone. I was sleeved yesterday, 6/3. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. Everything went well. I had no nausea and minimal gas pain. Today, I started the clear liquids. I have no nausea but the pain was excruciating. Finally, my nurse came in and gave me 2 percocets to chew and swallow (gross taste) but I can feel it working. Hopefully my pain will subside a bit and I can get discharged tomorrow.

Feel better. I did really well with IV Tylenol. I was afraid of nausea with pain meds so I asked for only Tylenol...remember sip slowly and consistently.

I have a hernia too so I am sure they will do the same. Wishing you a quick recovery.

Sound's like your doing well!

I was sent home with pain medication one every 4 hours. My Dr. has me on Protein shakes and liquids. I'm getting them in. This was not as bad as I made it out to be in my head. I think that has helped.lol

I am 3 days post op now. I went home yesterday. I was given a prescription for percocets and prevacid but I really don't need the percocets. I took some liquid tylenol and the pain has been manageable. I still feel a bit sore but not in pain. So far so good. I have been doing a fair amount of walking both at the hospital and after I was discharged yesterday and I feel like that helped.

Glad to hear you're doing well. Keep up the good work.
