  1. Audra, to answer your question about the pre op diet... NO it is going horrible. I have this killer headache and nothing i do is helping. i am on liquids with protien drinks 2 a day and up to 3 yogurts or cottage cheese per day. i think once the headache goes i will be ok. the hardest part i am dealing with is my doc said "just try you best it is ok if you slip once in a while." that does not help me stay faithful to the diet at all. oh well i am sure i will make it. just counting the days till surgery, i am actually starting to think it will be easier then this diet is. how is everything going for you? Jen
  2. i am going to tallgrass in topeka ks for 10,750. the only thing not included is a psych eval. only prob i have found is they do have a fantastic rep. and it takes awhile to get in, plus you have to attend a seminar before they will even consider scheduling you. here is the link http://www.topekaobesitysurgery.com/
  3. hi everyone, jen from wichita kansas here. i am scheduled for surgery april 3rd. i start my preop diet this friday and i am totally freaking out. i am soooo anxious about having surgery. i have not even had stiches before. i am last suppering it bad in fact i have gained about 6-7 pds since i got my date. i wish i could just my mouth shut. oh well i have high hopes for some weight loss during the preop. good luck everybody!

  5. My band date is April 3rd. I am thrilled to finally get this done. I was sched. last July and bailed out to try the medically supervised diet, all i can say is "YEAH RIGHT like that works!" I, as of today, have sucessfully gained back everything I lost plus 10. Currently my biggest fears: 1 I might be pregnant- I go to doc. friday for lab test. :baby: NOT a planned event! I am hoping things are just messed up from gaining weight so fast. 2 I won't stop gaining weight until my surgery. I am now up to my highest weight ever and I show no signs of stopping. I really don't want to double my work load all month, resulting in having to work that much harder post op. :violin: I keep having last supper syndrome especially since I got my surgery date. The funny thing is I actually asked my doc. how much weight I could lose and still have the surgery. He chuckled and said as long as I didn't come back weighing 130 pounds he would still do it. AAHHH someone smack me, I feel crazy right now! :help:
