  1. MAN! they closed for the holiday? How dare they! Don't they know you are ready to get this party started? lol
  2. I don't know about you, but I think I"m obsessed. lol
  3. For crying out loud! I am o here more than FaceBook!! lol That's saying something!!! I have quit playing FB games because it interferes with me reading the BP forums. My a$$ is tired from sitting in front of my computer reading the BP forums. I just want to get this done so bad I can almost taste it!
  4. @nairobi78 I have been to the free seminar at the Bariatric COE, I have done my sleep study, and been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, and am compliant with my c-pap. I have just completed my 6 months Dr supervised Diet, where I lost zilch, Now I am awaiting January 2, when my insurance kicks in, I will call and enroll that day in the bariatric program with UHC. What's next?
  5. Well...I WANT to be January 6th! Does that count? No? dang. (congrats to you though)
  6. Plus.....PLUS.....you will likely not have the extra skin issues as someone who lost much faster would. I'd say you are in a GREAT place!!!
  7. Oh my gosh. I hear that nearly everyone feels that way in the beginning. I can't speak from personal experience, but I'm pretty sure that soon others will chime in to share their experiences with you, and help you understand that you are not alone in your regrets. But, it is done. You can't undo it, so best to move onward, and do what you set out to do. Get thin and healthy. That's your ultimate goal, isn't it? It is mine. I'm sorry it has been hard for you, but try to have patience. You are so worth all the good things ahead of you, once you get past the bad stuff.
  8. @anewbeginning12414 THANK YOU for letting all of us know right away that you are recovering nicely already! You made it to the other side...the healthy side, where food is to keep you alive, not to make you fat, um I mean fluffy. Best to you, and speedy recovery!
  9. That has to feel great! The NSV's are what I'm so looking forward to. Clipping my toe nails, painting my toe nails, tying my shoes without having to hold my breath......and sitting comfortably in a booth. So very happy for you!!!
  10. WOW! What a difference, and very handsome, I might add! Congratulations! You must just feel so much better!
  11. @@Sunshine1976 You are in the right place. You can ask anything here.
  12. If you can (weather permitting)....go for walks. Read books. Get Alex's BIG books and read those. Read these forums for what you need to gather in preparation for your upcoming surgery and recovery, Take lots of naps. If you work, stay really super busy, and if you run out of work, offer to help your coworkers with theirs. (this will help your year end performance review as well!!) Do everything you can to keep your mind off food!! You CAN do this!! I hope to take my own advice when its my turn. Best to you!
  13. Well, you take care of that new tender tummy, and talk to your Dr. All the best to you!
  14. Hmmm...what did your surgeon or Nutritionist say when you asked them if you should be eating popcorn? They would be the first two people I would ask, not the BP forums. No offense forum folks.
  15. I've not had my WLS yet, but I have had more than my share of surgeries, and you are not awake when they insert the tube down your throat. That would be aweful! Just relax, and enjoy the nap.
  16. My sincere apologies to you lreed, that I did not believe you. I hope you are done "testing" your new tummy with booze. It can't be good for you.
  17. Agree with all the above. sleep Apnea is one of those "Co-morbidities" that helps you to qualify for the surgery. They don't want us "fluffy ones" dying in our sleep because we stop breathing, hence the more reason to approve you for the surgery.
  18. I agree....this is BS.
  19. I'm going to hang this on my fridge! Thank you!!! Can't wait to see more ideas!!
  20. I already own all the BIG BOOKS! lol But I can tell them I can always use some tiny containers! Thanks Alex!
  21. vitacost.com is having a 45% off sale right now for Syntrax nectars.
