Hey so first congrats on your process your doing amazing! My advice for you would be to make sure your still chewing slow so you don't over eat and if you are most defiantly trying to loose more weight you should only be eating clean and maybe one cheat day maybe! But make sure you are taking your Protein and working out at least and I mean at least 2x weekly .... You'll reach your goal!!! Good luck and stay focused also limit your alcohol intake because that's the weight that sneaks on
You with out a sign ....

Let me explain ; I can now fit a size 5/6 jeans instead of an 18/19 and 20 sometimes , I am very confident more than ever but still remain humble , I get all types if compliment from both people I know and don't know .... I feel Great , look great and I'm completing loving the new me
The challenges : I still have a mind set that I'm a "Big Girl "even though I know I'm physically not big no where, it's a challenge to try to now maintain this image that the world puts on you but I just try to be myself , I get scare like every one else of gaining too much weight so I maintain being focused buttttt you may slip feeling so great and now realizing that it's been 3months since you've worked out lol
Bottom line is it's hard but worth it girl you'll look great and feel great just stay on top of it but don't get excessive and lastly don't be afraid to ask for help!!!

I am an open book and have told everybody and anybody that I was having weight loss surgery and have asked for support.
I feel like honesty is the best policy - everyone who knows me knows what you see is what you get. I do have a few pat answers when anyone says something negative. I say: "I really need support, not negativity" and that shuts them up every time.
One bright spot of being open - as a get well gift, lots of my coworkers got me a gift card bouquet with gift cards for me to use when I am losing weight and need to buy new clothes! Ended up being over $300 worth of cards to places like Kohl's and Maurice's. So sweet!
I guess I would say that you would be surprised at the support you can get when you reach out for it. This surgery can be difficult at times. I need all the encouragement I can get. (I'm also surprised at how many people at work have had weight loss surgery and did not share it with anyone until I opened up about it.)
If you're hesitant to share with people around you, think about attending a post op support group. It's a great way to feel comfortable and normal and you can be around other people who truly understand what you are going through. At my group, we trade recipes, offer suggestions when others are struggling, and even have a clothes swap once a month. It's made a big difference for me to be prepared for the surgery, ask questions about my concerns, and get some solutions to common struggles.

I'm not sure my friends agree with my decision but none of them know anything about this surgery and I've done loads of research, frequent this site, and understand the benefits for my life. Even if they talk about me, I don't care, since they could already be talking about my weight, my ass the size of Dallas or crazy hair. People talk, it's just the way things are, and they don't have to agree with me. I'll just work hard at this "easy way out" and let the results speak for me!

    Hi Grandmaacj ,
I am more than happy to support anyone I can , as for your weight loss first I'll say that it's different for everybody; when I first had the Sugery within one month I lost 30LBS . But I understand what your saying , just make sure you'll doing all you can do like make sure your reaching your Protein levels , make sure you're eating small portions , not drinking while eating at the same time, make sure your not over eating because it's possible even if your sleeve stops you , you should be stopping your self before that and no worries I have issue with this myself .... Good luck

    Hi ,
I think we all have and will have that fear yes! But just stay focused and keep in the back of your mind who and what made you do the surgery In the first place . I am a Sleever I had my surgery August 24,2012 and I was 264 now I'm 150 I am more than happy with my results but have had those moments and still have issues with omg pleas don't let me gain any weight but the truth is you'll loose weight tremendously but you also gain a pound or two like limbo but you will be successful trust me . Also keep in mind that you don't usually reach you Plato until your at least a year out and even than you'll never be the size you were! Good luck

I have felt everything that is described here. I lost quickly early on and thought, well, I guess this could be it. This might be all I lose (the scale quit moving for a few days)....then all at once, it started coming off again. I understand your fears though- this whole process is one big mental game!

I tell anyone who asks how I lost the weight. Mostly because I like to see the look on their face...I don't give 2 Sh#$s what people think. But that's just me...

I am honest about the WLS, but I kept my decision very quiet until two weeks pre-op, and then only telling my mother and sisters. My hubby was only told 1 month pre-op also. ( I had my date scheduled for 4 months - the wait was my choice).
While I haven't made a Facebook announcement, I answer questions about my weight loss honestly. I find it easier to dazzle with facts than be vague and provide gossip ammunition. The upside for me has been the fact that I've been able to have open discussions with others who are considering WLS for themselves or family members who are having it. I consider this my " pay it forward" opportunity. This is truly a personal decision to tell / not tell.

    Hi ladies/Guys
I am 1 year and 8months post op Sleever and some how I have found this love to inspire others to do the same not saying the actual surgery but the WeightLoss part and building the self esteem of others. I am curious to see who would be interested in something like this ?
Here's a little about me I have always been a big girl but to be honest I never thought I was insecure , I always dressed up being in the fashion industry as I am for over ten years you have to look and act the part so I think I spent so much time acting that I never realized how un-happy I really was until I was 5'2 264 pounds , chronic asthmatic , sleep apnea , one step away from type 1 diabetes . Long story short I am now so happy and completely comfortable with my self inside and out and I'd like to help others with that ; inspire you as you can also inspire me Don't think that because I lost the weight that I am sitting here feeling perfect NO there are things I still deal with from day to day .
