  1. I understand this is a difficult journey to be on but as earlier poster said you had major surgery give your body a chance to heal give your mind a chance to heal this is all going to be worth it in the end.
  2. Congrats on the 66 pounds gone I can only hope that I am somewhere close to that at my three-month mark.
  3. I am eight weeks out as of yesterday and three of my five scars are still totally visible and red but two of the five you have to look to find them I guess it's just the way we allheal everybody's going Heal differently.
  4. I like my aqua areobics. I am starting at the gym today.
  5. I totally understand what everybody is saying here. It's better right now because it's summer time. I teach at a college and most of the other faculty are not there. But when they are there is constantly food in our breakroom I have to go in there because that's where the copy machine is. And it's not healthy food either it is bags of cookies and guard ghettos and popcorn and all sorts of things I have attempted in the past to bring in fruit and if it gets eaten but never gets replaced and I cannot afford to keep bringing in fruit. We also have potlucks all the time and 90% of the see you today is brought is not healthy even though everybody that I work with claims to eat healthy. Then every second Sunday is potluck at my church and again people claim to be eating more healthy but that doesn't stop them from piling on the butter bringing any kind of potato dish that they want to you. I'm really not looking forward to church this Sunday.
  6. I went to True Results. Dr Hollis did my sleeve. He was good. I am 2 months out today and have had very little problems, a few stalls, but its because I don't get enough food. My only complaint. Not really a complaint because I could ask, all I got was a folder with 4 pages in it telling me what to eat for 4 weeks after surgery. Because I was self pay they do not care. I have been to Dr Hollis office twice and talked to his nurse all she will tell me is NO carbs. It is a little frustrating. I am happy I did it. I am in Lake Jackson, south of Houston.
  7. I want to adopt a child and no one will choose me. I know they see the large single woman and think, "she wont be able to handle a child on her own". My secondary conditions (HBP and type 2 Diabetes) are not helping either.
  8. I am little queezy but not bad. Did you have fun on your trip? I wish I could go on a trip.
  9. I came out of my stall that had lasted probably 10 days this weekend. I just upped my protein intake by about 10 g a day and I also upped my liquid intake by about 10 more ounces so I'm getting about 72 to 75 ounces of liquid a day. I too can only drink my liquids at extreme temperatures I like my hot plantation mint tea and then I like my water with lots and lots of ice but room temperature liquids yuck!
  10. Ouch. I have stayed away from most of those treats. I do eat watermelon on occasion with no trouble. I hope you recover quickly.
  11. I have had very very few pictures taken the last 15 years. When I look at pictures from the past I realize why I thought I was invisable. I made myself that way. I still shy away from pictures but I am taking pictures ever few weeks in the same outfit to record progress. As for mirrors, I hid most of mine. 45 lbs gone, I am checking out my butt a lot. I am losing in my legs and butt big time.
  12. Bless you. I hope you get answers and healing.
  13. I am now two months out and I cannot remember what I had. I had to loose 10 lbs in 2 weeks before my surgery so I was concentrating on that. As I see it, someday I may eat a little bit of what I missed but right now I am really enjoying my weight loss.
  14. 5'3" large breasts and tummy. 242 was 2X top, 20 dress, 18 pants. 198 today L/XL some 1X tops, 14W or 16P pants, I have one M top that fits and one size 12 pants. I have learned you have to try things on! Good thing my mom is losing also because she is giving me all her old pants.
