  1. Anyone else really hungry. I feel hungry all the time. I get full really fast but then feel hungry. I am following the doctors diet exactly but still feel hungry. I am worried, I have lost 32 pounds but the hunger is there all the time. Am I just having brain hunger or is the growly stomach hunger.
  2. I am worried because I am very slow at this weight loss. I had surgery July1 and am down only 9 lbs. I have stuck to the plan but find I am very hungry. When I eat I feel very full quickly. Is this weight loss normal ? I see other people losing quicker than that. I am worried to eat too much incase I stretch my stomach. I am just generally stress right now. I am so glad I did this though.
  3. So glad I read these posts, I have had no end of discomfort sleeping. I hate sleeping on my back but it hurts to sleep on my side. Glad I am not the only one.
  4. I am two weeks out from surgery and have been fine. Yesterday I had a headache and it is still throbbing today and when I took my blood pressure it was way up from normal. Should I go back on my diuretic or could it be dehydration? My stomach hurts and I feel sick. Anyone else have this?
  5. I used Dr. Fernando Garcia and found him very good.
  6. So nice to hear from other July sleevers. I had my surgery on July 1. I have only lost 6 pounds since then and am feeling frightened. But on the other hand I have lost 25 since the first of June. I am having trouble getting my protein shakes down and have switched to premade ones and find them easier. I am still so worried to start " real food". I am and emotional eater and need to deal with the reasons I over eat. I move on to puree on Wednesday and bought baby food and yogurt. Anyone have any other suggestions? Congratulations to all of you have started this brave new journey.
  7. I am 11 days out from VSG and have felt great. Today I woke up feeling headache and belly bloat. I feel tired and sick. Anyone else have this experience? Yesterday I had family things so I did a two hour car ride and lots of standing but remembered to drink lots of Water. Any suggestions?

  9. I just returned from surgery in Mexico and am 8 days out. I took books and puzzle books and found I read and did puzzles. You may want a heating pad to help with the gas pains and I found I wore a dress on the way home , you don't want anything tights
  10. Hey July 1st sleevers, I am starting Protein shakes tomorrow and am using a powder and milk. Can I puree fruit into it?
  11. I am seven days after gastric sleeve and was told never to use a straw as it lets too much air into your stomach.
  12. Thanks everyone, it is sure nice to know I am not alone. I am leaving for my flights in a few minutes and my stomach is in knots. I know this is the right thing for me, the only thing left for me to try. Prayers for everyone on this journey.
  13. My surgery is in two days and I have spent the last few days hiding in my house crying. I am so afraid of everything, dying, not going through with it, gaining, not losing everything. Am I crazy ???
  14. I am very interested in the whole tell or don't tell question. I am not a private person and tend to blab things to everyone. It isn't a good trait but I deal with it. I have struggled with this question and have told a few people but I live in a small town and am a cancer survivor. I worry that people will think my cancer is back when I start to lose weight. I am having surgery in 9 days and don't want to have people expect miracles from me either. I am torn. Any thoughts out there?
  15. I was told in BC the list is 3 to 5 years. I decided to go to Mexico because I didn't want to wait that long.
