headache and blood pressure up

I am two weeks out from surgery and have been fine. Yesterday I had a headache and it is still throbbing today and when I took my blood pressure it was way up from normal. Should I go back on my diuretic or could it be dehydration? My stomach hurts and I feel sick. Anyone else have this?

Call your Dr. at only two weeks out, it's best to check any out of the ordinary changes. That said, headache, naseau are both signs of dehydration. Are you tracking fluids? If you are not getting 64 oz. try a schedule:

1 cup before 8 am.

1 cup before 10 a.m.

1 cup before noon,

1 cup before 2 p.m.

1 cup before 4 p.m.

1 cup before before 7 p.m.

1 cup before 9 p.m.

1 cup before bed

Isereno, great advice on having a water schedule. I'm going to try it.
