  11. Hello girls... I'm da 11 into my pre-op diet. Mine is 3-4 diabetic boost, and all the water you want. It seem pretty harsh compared to everything I'm reading online. Any of you doing pre-op dieting?
  12. Oh, and I live in Victoria BC.
  13. I go in May 28th. Yes, this liquid diet is a little tough. I do it for a month. 1 diabetic Boost, plus lots of Water 3-4 times a day...that's it!! It's harsh compared to all the other pre-op diets I've been reading about. I'm trying to think of it as a practice session before the big game.
  14. Good morning! I'n 29 days from surgery...I can't remember if you gave me your surgery date. (and remind me where you're from? I've been on so many forums/FB that I'm a little overwhelmed by all the information. I didn't have to 'apply' for surgery. Maybe the surgeon's office does that? I feel badly for all the people waiting to hear from their insurance companies after doing so many weeks for dieting, tests, psych evaluations. Did you have to have one? Just curious.

  16. Hello ladies! I'm 30 days today from my surgery date! May 28th. I'm already on my pre-op liquid diet. Have been for 10 days now...they started me early. It does get easier as you go along. Anyone else on the liquid diet yet?
  17. Well, we'll see if this works. Happy to have other Canadians to compare surgeries, etc. with. Our provincial medical care is different from the American, from the sounds of it. Really curious about that. Let's chat!
  18. It's under community then support groups. I haven't posted anything yet, still trying to figure out how. If you can, post : )
  19. What are 'slider foods'? I've seen people mention it but I don't know what that means. Thanks!

  22. That's awesome! Good to know there is someone local just in case! You never know when you might need some in person support. And yeah it would be great to have a Canadian sleevers thread! Hey, I've just opened one called Canadian Girls....let's fill it up!
  23. I am also from Fort mcmurray! Hey guys, we need some sort of Canadian place to meet up. I'm having a difficult time finding us girls online. When are your surgeries? Mine is May 28th. I'm from Victoria, BC.
  24. I love questions lol I start the Optifast on May 14th and I'm dreading it lol the surgeon said most likely sleeve because I have less than 100 lbs to lose. How about yourself? Where abouts are you in Canada hun? Hey! I already know I'm having the sleeve. My surgeon puts us on a diabetic boost or glucerna, with Water only, liquid dieat for 1 entire month! They thought my surgery would be sooner so I've already been on it since the 17th!!!!!!!!!! It does get easier as it goes along. I'm losing .5lb a day average. I'm wanting to lose less than 100ibs also. I live in Victoria, BC. Where do you hail from?
  25. Hi fellow Canadian! I'm also in Canada, near Toronto, and my surgery date is May 28th Oh it's so exciting to meet another Canadian!! Are you having the sleeve? When do you start your pre-op diet? Sorry for all the questions, it's just interesting to see if our experience will be the same or not.
  26. My surgery is May 28th. I'm already on the liquid diet...Glucerna (meal replacement) and water. That's it. It seems kind of harsh compared to other 'pre-op' diets I've read about here. I'm fortunate, my BC medical covers the entire cost of the surgery. I live in Canada.
