Post op nutrition
I use a spreadsheet to tract the total number of Protein grams and the number of ounces I drink. Protein needs to total between 60 & 80 grams; liquids: >= 64 ounces. I don't bother with tracking anything else because, to me, it would feel too much like dieting which I'm sick and tired of.

Egd, protein shakes, a checklist? ?
I don't think you need to start with the Protein shakes yet. You'll be doing that before your surgery anyway. You could collect a bunch of recipes from this site and the blog, "The World According to Eggface," Another think I have found helpful is getting the Torani or DaVinci sugarless syrups to be able to change up the flavors of your Protein shake and serve as the base for the recipes. I have tasted ready-made Protein Shakes and protein powders; some taste terrible, very medicinal. I use

I'm just now fitting in a bright orange sleeveless dress with my fave denim jacket with all kinds of different buttons sewn on the bottom 2 inches, worn with magenta tights. I just bought a hot red dress with rhinestones in a size 8 for incentive!

Day 4 Post Op Pain
I didn't have any pain. If the pain is that bad, I think you should call your surgeon.

Needing help
The hair loss might be related to not having enough Protein right after surgery. The stretchy part of the stomach was removed. The part that is left is muscular and not very stretchable. As the swelling goes down, you will have more room and not feel as full as quickly as you did in the early post-op days. Very normal.

Type 2 Diabetic Sleevers Post-Op
I was sleeved on 9/26. I had Type 2 diabetes and was taking Januvia. The surgeon said my blood sugar would go down in 3 - 4 days. It dropped after two days.... VERY happy. My co-morbidities, sleep apnea and fatty liver will disappear in 3 - 4 months post surgery.
