Today's the day -- I'm modelling in my surgeon's Christmas Party runway show! Great bodycon red dress (and supportive undergarments!)
-
GOAL! GOAL! GOAL! GOAL! GOAL! GOAL!!!!
-
My surgeon asked me to speak at his support group meeting in January -- sharing my experience... How cool is that?
-
One more pound down, one more to goal... is this really happening???
-
Two more pounds and I'll hit GOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!!
-
My surgeon asked me to be in the fashion show for the Christmas support group party -- gotta find a red dress to rock!
-

Would just be funny if my brain would believe it... I took them out this morning to wear and looked at the butt and thought... "no way my butt is that small"... even after I put them on and can even breathe in them, my brain keeps saying no way... It's crazy when your brain argues with what HAS to be reality!

How do you get to the point where you look in the mirror and see what other people see instead of the way you used to look?

Thanks ladies... it's just hard to wrap my head around. Today, laying in bed, I checked just to see and I can almost wrap my hands completely around one thigh. And the size 6 jeans I'm wearing are sagging in the butt and I have a date tomorrow night, so I'm going to get the size 4's today in the same brand. But when I look in the mirror I don't feel skinny. But a SIZE 4 JEAN??? I MUST be small, right? Just so weird.

Do you ever start to think how much you weigh and you think 175, no, 155, no wait... 145!!! I guess my brain can't wrap itself around a number in the 140's!!!
-
Those big century marks must be great @Packerfan61964... I was a relative lightweight so I only had one of those to pass and it was really quick (only 10 pounds). So for me, the decade milestones have been big ones (90, 80, 70, 60, 50...) Be sure to celebrate when you hit the two's!

First time in years I've dressed up for Halloween -- take a look at my profile pic and let me know what you think!

Shopping for an interview suit this weekend -- nice to feel confident in the way I look on an interview! Wish me luck on finding a suit and on the interview!

Back down to where I was... onward and downward!
-
Officially moved my weight back up 2 pounds... I haven't done that before because a day or two weight gain always dropped back down but this one's been around long enough now to change the tracker. Oh well... onward and upward -- I'm gonna keep doing what's worked so far.

Thanks @jodie1961 -- I was always amazed at how much younger people looked in their after pictures and I've been shocked to do that too!
@BladeFox -- I know, it's natural -- I'm just so close to goal (within 10 pounds) and it's irritating to see that scale go up. Hormones, yes -- eating is still very on track so I don't think it's an eating issue. Of course the first thing that comes to mind is "Is this where my body wants to stay?" But, I'm not giving up on it yet. I'll just keep on keeping on and YES, onwards and DOWNWARDS!

60 pounds today!!! Only 10 more to go for my conservative goal!!! Woot Woot morning!
-
Got the thumbs up from the doc after labs -- just need to increase protein to 80 g/day! YEAH!
-
Dreading doctor visit today -- weight loss great -- labs (iron) not so good...
-
I am taking 18mg of iron twice per day - it's what is on the two multi vitamin Centrum pills . I just decided to have them 12 hours apart 8:30 AM and 8:30 PM because vitamins that aren't used are tinkled away and this way I was spreading the load. This does mean I have to take pills 4 times per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime). Were you taking about this amount? Please let us know what the doctor advised. You'll get it right, no worries. This is why we get tested.

If I keeping feeling so good I'm gonna need to gain weight to keep from floaing away!

I can't wear a 6 in every pair... but when I found this pair that fit nice and was a 6, you KNOW I bought them in 2 different colors! lol I can't believe I fit in them either. My wildest dream with the WLS would be to get down to about a size 10. I still have 15 pounds to get to my conservative goal... if I can hit that easily and keep losing I will -- 140 would be a BMI of 25 for me, so I could drop a little lower and still be healthy. No idea what size jean that will be! lol
I actually wore size 0 and 2 in high school, so a size 6 thirty years later ain't too shabby!
-
@Ginger Snaps, I think it's awesome, I am down to a size 14 and couldn't believe it when I put those on I could emagine a 6? I don't think I will get that low, but at this point you never know, I was also thinking a 10 would be perfect? I can't remember the last time I was a size 10 if ever? lol, Congrats girl, you are doing amazing!!!
-
@Zoey716... first time on the treadmill this morning since the hip injury... were you with me? lol

Problem is it's really deep in the joint... ice doesn't touch it. I use a foam roller but it really doesn't do anything for the hip. Stretching does but when it's inflammed really bad the only thing that really helps is rest. This is the worst it's been in a very long time which is annoying since I've taken 50 pounds of weight off of it... it should be happy!
-
So, the day I complain about not dropping a pound in 10 days, I drop a pound. Obviously complaining is the secret to losing weight! lol
-
Hurt my hip - can't exercise... scale has stayed the same for 10 days straight now - going crazy but I'll keep keeping on
-
Challenging weekend of a LOT of driving, trying to find healthy options when I stopped (packed some food but not everything) and having car trouble causing an extra nights stay. Add that to PMS and a problem with my hip keeping me from exercising... I'm in quite a state!
-
@ginger snap, ok lady, it happens to all of us from time to time, so, these are the places that I go to when this happens to me - sans the PMS because hopefully that is over with for me. Wendy's for Chili, Taco Bell for Cantina Bowl. When knees give me problems, I take the needed rest and sit back with my favorite crystal light drink and say WOO-SAH~~~ What else can we girls do right?!? Peace.
